Unenchanted Mage Robes

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 5:23 pm

I've been searching all over for some cool looking mage robes, like thalmor, without enchantments. What is the point of being a Mage without being able to enchant your own robe? With 25 % cost reduction to specific spells in four different items I would get free spells from two different schools of magic. If someone has found some awesome matching unenchanted mage robes and hoods, please tell me where and how. And if there are none, it would be great if Bethesda would pull their act together and do something about it. Why isn't there a tailor in Skyrim who would tailor custom made clothes, or why couldn't I make my own robe, if players using smithing can create their own armor?

The only thing I've found is a "mage hood" which is an unenchanted apprentice/ novice hood that I found on a theif.
I would also like to point out my disappointment for the lack of robes in general. the master and expert robes can barely even be called robes. and they dont even have hoods!
next DLC, robe armory...

I don't know how cool they look, but I'm pretty sure you can find unenchanted "Blue Mage Robes" pretty readily throughout the game.

I have bought some that I think were called College Mage Robes or something like that. They look like master robes but are unenchanted.

Vaermina's faithful wear robes that are purple with a design on them. Kind of cool looking.

I find blue ones all the time. If you are into killing priests you can get a monk robe from one of them. It's orange though.

You wouldn't happen to remember where you bought the College mage robes? In my opinion all the apprentice, master or what have you college mage robes do look pretty decent. On the other hand, it could nice to enchant some posh clothes and prance around like a nobleman, if it even is possible. :)

I found a black robe on some guy who was headed to the Shrine of Azura on a pilgrimage. He died before we could get there so I took his Robe.
