Please bethesda, please make it so when you sheathe your weapon your shield goes on your back. I have never used a shield in an elder scrolls game because I just hate how my character always carries his shield.

I agree, it looks quite silly when your character is constantly carrying his shield. Tis not a game breaker though.

From a lot of the screens i've been seeing i think we may well have to continue with our arm shield holding ways

That's what I am worried about, and the reason why I made this post. And to dragonforks, it kind of damages some of the game for me because I never use shields, even if i want to

Well if it helps there actually is a bit of logic into not carrying it on your back even when your not in combat, i mean say your walking through town and a guy rushes you with a sword at the ready.....if your shield were on your back that would be a few more seconds wasted getting it off and into position as opposed to having it at the ready where you deflect his attack with the shield or bash him with it, then draw your weapon and finish him as if he were johnny cage.

Sheathes...or scabbards....idk either one held swords. shields are/were usually held on by a strap that you slung across your shoulder and the shield itself rested on your back....you could also just have a longer strap and use it kind of like how you carry a back pack with only one strap

If we are getting into 'Where does stuff go' I would like to mention the fact that if I'm carrying a sword and a bow I would like to see both of them on my person at the same time, rather than have one of them magically vanish when it is unequipped. It's not a big issue but it would be nice to see.

That would be a nice feature that I would really like to see also.
