I will try to explain this nice and easy,

I had a issue on skyrim that i had opaque water in skyrim, like when i entered the water it was dark brown, greenish...unable to see in the water.

Also skyrim put my graphics on low quality but when i optimize it with geforce experience its all set to high,ultra.. But now it becomes weird.. i checked my game cache in steam to be sure there weren't any problems or corrupted files, i fired up the game and bammm.. skyrim detected my system and put the graphics on ultra high (this was after i downloaded nexus manager with the UI mod but deleted it shortly after)... i don't know why this fixed this issue... I did the check game cache once more today (idk why) and i have the same problem like before... game detects system and puts everything on low and i get the green,brown water again ;( even when optimizing skyrim with geforce experience.. i really have no clue why it does that but it really bothers me. Kinda unexplainable. It might be the way skyrim stores my data?? But thats only a gues..

I hope u guys can advice me some things or help me.

quick specs: (not the best specs but it's able to run it smooth on almost max graphics with shadows on med with high res texture pack)

i7 - 4710mq cpu @ 3.3 ghz

Extra info: my friend had the same laptop with the same specs but with win 7 he didnt have any of these problems, and his laptop put skyrim to ultra high and didnt have the opaque water like me, but i had this scenario like him for 1-2 days and it's really weird why and how..

Make sure the proper GPU is selected from the drop down box in the launcher options. You can click ultra or high regardless of what the launcher detects.

The game detects your settings everytime you open the launcher?
