Is there some secret girl technique to using tweezers?

The technique is to get used to the pain. :P

Though there are some little things you can do to make using tweezers less painful. For example; you can try putting a piece of ice over the area for a bit before tweezering (is that even a word...?). Another thing I've heard you can do is soak your face with warm water beforehand, it supposedly makes the hairs pull out easier.

My son and husband have one, I pluck it for the hubs.
The son plucks his own. He whined about the pain.
I pulled out my epilator and used it on his arm. He shut up.
Because I use it on my face.

I'm going to read your parenting guide when you write it. :)

OT: I pluck my boyfriends monobit. However I was a bit overkeen last time and saw a big hair under his eyebrow too. It was annoying me so I plucked that too. Cue much hysterical flailing - the root was genuinely about an inch long and according to him was 'agony'. It did leave a fair mark though and when we went to visit his family he rejoiced in telling them his girlfriend scarred him. ;)

1. Someone else doing it means you can't [censored] out because of the pain.
2. As mentioned above, we can do it with less of said pain.
3. Shape, my friend. A girl knows how to shape a brow. What's worse than a mono is a blatantly plucked, uneven pair of brows.

I pluck my boyfriends. He moans but he always thinks it looks better afterwards. I enjoy it, as I'm fair haired with only little wisps to begin with so don't have much to do with mine :(

Trust me you're lucky. My hair is seriously dark and it's a daily trudge. :(

I have one, but you can barely notice unless you're right in my face.

Doesn't pulling out nose hair hurt like hell? :P

Yeah, here's what you do to make your epilation less painful.
You will need a pair of slant tip tweezers, an astringint, and a bottle of aloe vera gel for sunburn.
Put the aloe vera in the fridge over night and chill it.
Gather your implements. Next, take a nice hot shower and open your pores.
After exiting the shower, use slant tip tweezers to pluck your eyebrows. Finish off with the astringint to kill any bacteria, and and apply chilled aloe vera gel to soothe the plucked area.

Plucking eyebrowsDO NOT SHAVE IT.

Once one of my students came in with both of his eyebrows gone. I asked him what happened. I figured his sister put a depilatory on his brows while he slept.
He'd tried to remove his unibrow, and reduce his thick eyebrows, and he kept making them lopsided. Poor kid.
They grew back.

I have two and they're so faint as to be unnoticeable. Not from a hairy family and fair hair coloring conspire against my unibrow dreams. :(

I have one but it's faint. Being Hispanic and Lebanese doesn't help out but I'm fine with it. Wear it with pride my brother.

Yes. 3 or 4 at a time to get it over with quick. They eventually grow back though. No sissy epilators or trimmers for me. They come out by the root !

Recently I remembered that I have a unibrow. Most people don't seem to notice, and those who do often suggest that I shave it. Anyway, I am curious, how many of you have one, had one but shaved it or know someone who has one?

People notice everything. Various assaults of body odor, odd dental arrangements, clothing fasteners unfastened, bad grammar, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=296bGnCsRJo, etc.

This is what makes people so enjoyable to be around.

Well, personally, I can't think of a single person who finds unibrows or wing brows attractive.

But of course! We can do it fast and almost pain-free! *pluck, pluck, pluck* voila! :P

Well, I have learned something today. At least it sounds less difficult than doing whatever it is you're supposed to do with cuticles. I had a girl explain that to me once, I had no idea. I mean, I complain just about have to shave my face. :P Womens be crazy.

I don't have a full-on unibrow but I have a couple darker hairs between my eyebrows. I tweeze them when I'm not being lazy, it doesn't hurt.

Negative, two separate eyebrows. I don't seem to have hair problems. I have a head full of hair, normal eyebrows etc. I don't grow facial hair very fast and have little to zero body hair asides from legs....idk why.
