Last year I started the game and after about 8 hours playing my hard drive died and I lost everything. Considering it took me 6 days getting all the mods downloaded working properly I haven't had the heart to try it all again until now.

I installed the GOTY disc and went to install Morrowind but the installation froze up at 100% and was stuck for ages. It may have been a bad idea but I quit out via task manager and decided to try again. I went to install straight into C:\ (I won't do that next time) and when I looked not many files had been installed so I went to uninstall and do it properly.

I went to play or uninstall and it said there was a problem with data1.cab (or something similar) so I deleted all the folders associated with Morrowind in the program files and also the keys in the registry and the shortcut on the desktop yet now when I go to uninstall I get this error:

Error loading
C:\PROGRA-1\COMMON-1\INSTAL-1\engine\6\INTEL3-1\Ctor.dll
The specified module could not be found

This happens when I try to uninstall so I cannot do that yet when I go to the disc the only option is to play as it thinks it is installed on my PC despite no files or exe being on there. What can I do?

No one's answered yet? My guess is that there is still some remnant in the registry that you missed. You'll probably never be able to do the uninstall but if the registry is clean, you should be able to do a new install. Is this Win7?

Cheers Fragonard, I downloaded a registry cleaner and found the offending files. The game is now successfully installed.
