Uninstalling Morrowind from Win7

Post » Sun Dec 14, 2014 10:02 pm

So many install guides and ZERO uninstall instructions. I have to get my rig ready for a Fallout TTW install and I have decided to give Skyrim a try.

I don't remember this being a problem on my old gaming rig but the launcher can't find the uninstaller. At least that is what the pop up window said.

So I have this on a 228 ssd and it is installed on my C drive\bethesda softworks\morrowind

I was using MGSO 3.0 and the uninstaller ran and I uninstalled the MW CS and mash, script extender and so on... all good.

So how do I properly remove MW? I want to do it properly so I can one day return to MW and I don't want any registry problems.

Look in the folder where you installed Morrowind.

[e.g., C:/Bethesda Softworks/Morrowind]

You should have two subfolders, named "CSUninstall" and "MWUninstall."

Inside each are a bunch of small files and a "Setup.exe" file.

Double-clicking the "Setup.exe" should get you the uninstallation windows.

Good luck.

That is not working. All it wants to do is re install the program again.

SOLVED

It seems that I unistalled the CS before MW and that messed everything up. At least that is what I think happened because I reinstalled the CS and then rain the install exe directly from the disk and it then removed MW. I then went and ran the un installer for the CS again.

Well there we I go and learned something again. The uninstall order is important.

Cheers
