You should definitely deactivate first before you install. At least the activation will be returned to your quota and it prevents it from subtracting from the total number of activations you have in this game. I would also save the folder which contains your save games in case you ever reinstall and need to access your previous saves in the future.

May I ask why you are uninstalling C3 ?

Sorry for late reply. Death in family .
C3 started to intermittently freeze on me throughout the game.
Frames would freeze for a moment then the game would resume.
This happens every 20 seconds approximately.
Have now done a reformat and fresh install, but this has not fixed the problem .
