Unique Heavy Combat Armor?

Post » Sun Jan 10, 2016 2:42 am

Is there some unique heavy combat armor in the game?

The commando and black ops pieces are both the standard variant, so are there unique pieces of the sturdy or heavy varieties that you can either purchase, find through questing, or drop through legendary enemies?

Thanks

Heavy arms, both for sale in a friendly vault. Forgot the name of them. Chest wise, not that I have seen.

Thanks, I didn't realize that the Overseer's Armor (the two pieces in Vault 81) were heavy, but it makes sense since they are really expensive.

Are they heavy for sure? I was thinking they were Sturdy Combat Armor arms. But i have never had enough caps to find out lol just got to level 30 and i have my sturdy armor complete set on me now. so now i'm starting to save up for those Overseer arms.

Black Ops combat armor are Sturdy variety as well.

According to the wiki, the Overseer's Left and Right Armguard both use the Heavy Combat Armor arms as a base. The Freefall Legs can also use the Heavy Combat Armor base, but the base form is randomly generated when you enter the alcove that has the safe. Save before entering the room, then check what type they are. If they aren't the right type, reload the save and try again.

There is a mod that lets you change armor types (light, medium and heavy). It is called "craftable armor size" or something like that. Very handy. This should have been in the base game.

Agreed. It doesn't make sense that you can essentially overhaul a gun to make it play as an almost entirely different weapon... but not add a few pieces to some leather armor. Unless I'm horribly mistaken, guns are far more complex (and require more skill) than a hunk of armor.

There is a BoS paint if you dont want shadowed or polymer, it's one of the mods. You can also luck into any legendary pieces but they will have the same mods and look afaik.

If this is to me, I should clarify that it makes no sense for me to turn a .308 bolt-action pipe pistol into a .50 cal. pipe sniper rifle with recon scope and marksman stock, but NOT turn standard combat armor into heavy combat armor.

If it's to the OP, he's asking if there are any legendary heavy combat armor parts that aren't based on the RNG of the game.
