I've got a couple. Tell me what you think.
Nocturnal's Slippers
-Area of silence around the PC.
-Almost undetectable while sneaking (while not in Line of Sight)
-Unable to cast spells and unable to talk to NPCs.
Sword of NeverThere
-A powerful sword that weighs nothing
-A 1/5 (or greater/less) chance that it switches place with your enemies weapon.
Hermaeus' Third Eye
-Amulet
-Detects life 900ft. But not every life. ie: There may be a couple enemies that it doesn't detect. Chosen randomly.
-Sometimes "detects" life when nothing is there. ie: You think you see something around that corner, but nothings there.
-Not all enemies are the enemies you think your detecting. ie: you think there are a couple of rats in a corridor, but it turns out to be ogres.
I was bored at work, so I thought of these.
Anyone else have any other to share?
I'm not really sure at what you're getting at...
We want to switch a powerful, weightless item with an ordinary, heavy item every five attacks? Huh?
And I don't think we have to be so extreme in how unique items need to balanced.
HeartseekerA bow that causes all arrows you shoot to hone in on hostiles, not like heat-seeking missiles doing loops, but maybe aid with accuracy, a little bit of a lean toward their chest.
Shepherd's CalmA crook (Think traditional Jesus-style) that emits a pulse, drawing in beast creatures, or do something they shouldn't. Jump off a cliff or something, I dunno.
Anyway,
Maybe other than weapons, items that can aid in other activities, such as the skeleton key in OB.
I'd like to see Sanguine's spell that strips people and make them start screaming like idiots. Set it off in a Nord tavern...
