I've got a couple. Tell me what you think.

Nocturnal's Slippers
-Area of silence around the PC.
-Almost undetectable while sneaking (while not in Line of Sight)
-Unable to cast spells and unable to talk to NPCs.

Sword of NeverThere
-A powerful sword that weighs nothing
-A 1/5 (or greater/less) chance that it switches place with your enemies weapon.

Hermaeus' Third Eye
-Amulet
-Detects life 900ft. But not every life. ie: There may be a couple enemies that it doesn't detect. Chosen randomly.
-Sometimes "detects" life when nothing is there. ie: You think you see something around that corner, but nothings there.
-Not all enemies are the enemies you think your detecting. ie: you think there are a couple of rats in a corridor, but it turns out to be ogres.

I was bored at work, so I thought of these.

Anyone else have any other to share?

Arrow of the Cheap -- 1 second after being fired and making contact, the arrow is magically reequipped and ready to fire again. You have to repair the arrow like a regular weapon though.

Ok i have an idea:
Ghostly Sword - The blade of this sword is slightly transparrent and looks like a mist or fog. It does less damage than most other weapons of similar level but ignores armor.

I was playing Oblivion the other day and I have to say I enjoy using Dawnfang/Duskfang & I thought wouldn't it be cool 200 hundred years later to come across the two crystals that are apart of the weapon in a dungeon somewhere which starts a quest. You have to go to a number of blacksmiths to track down a rumor of someone skilled enough to forge them into a weapon. After you visit a few smithies you piece together the location of a hermit smith who lives off somewhere & when you go to him, he/she gives you the option of:

A - Puting both crystals into a 1 handed sword, mace or axe.
B - Puting both crystals into a 2 handed sword, hammer or axe.
C - Puting each crystal into a seperate weapon, ie. one crystal in two 1 handed Shortswords, Longswords, Axes, Maces or combo of both. (Each weapon is slightly weaker then having both crystals in single weapon)

That's just what I thought would be cool. Put your ideas in.

P.S - Love also to see the Staff of Magnus & Chrysamere in Skyrim.

This is from an old thread I answered on.

This would be awsome!

I'm not really sure at what you're getting at...
We want to switch a powerful, weightless item with an ordinary, heavy item every five attacks? Huh?
And I don't think we have to be so extreme in how unique items need to balanced.

Heartseeker
A bow that causes all arrows you shoot to hone in on hostiles, not like heat-seeking missiles doing loops, but maybe aid with accuracy, a little bit of a lean toward their chest.

Shepherd's Calm
A crook (Think traditional Jesus-style) that emits a pulse, drawing in beast creatures, or do something they shouldn't. Jump off a cliff or something, I dunno.

Anyway,
Maybe other than weapons, items that can aid in other activities, such as the skeleton key in OB.

I'd like to see Sanguine's spell that strips people and make them start screaming like idiots. Set it off in a Nord tavern...

I think he means every time you strike an enemy you have a 1 in 5 chance (or 20%) chance to swap your enemies equipt weapon for your own.
i.e - Swing it at the person weilding Umbra a couple time when it triggers you then have umbra they have Sword of NeverThere.

The sword is powerful the downside is like most weapons of legend in TES they have a mind of their own & choose when to abandon their wielder.

What the gleeful vampire [player] doesn't realise is the moment word gets out [he equips it] in the underworld [with Radiant Story conditionals] that he has such a coveted artifact, every vampire on Nirn is going to come after him at night. Be careful on the ice, daywalker...

Shield of Ever
Shield, that protects like ebony shield and never breaks, but weights as much as the most heavy armor set in the game

Excellent fun, more people to kill then and I won't have to go looking for them

P.S I hope Skyrim vampires can as lore says pass through ice like ghosts. It would be a really cool feature

Hammer of the Atronach -- A Hammer that looks like it is made of Stone and Lightning (well, it is). It has high damage and a good shock damage effect, and it moves around like the body of a Storm Atronach.

Fists of the Atronach -- Gauntlets that look as though they are made up of an actual Storm Atronach. It says +10 Shock Hand-to-Hand Damage... *GASP* IT'S A FIST WEAPON!

I like this, Most powerful artifacts had curses in the lore. Ring gives you sun walking but downside is:

1 > Vampires come after you during the night.
2 > Current day members of 'The Order of Virtuous Blood' send hunters after you during day.

Well then werewolves will need something. ;)

Talisman of the Harvest Moon - Ignores the effects of lycanthropy while equipped. You won't change but you don't gain any passive benefits either.

Yeah I know but I have already requested the ring of Hircine in another thread, which is already an artifact in Tamriel and therefore not one I made up.

These I want:

Ring of the Daywalker (Allows vampires to walk in sun and appear physically normal during the day)

and

The Ring of Hircine (Allows werewolves to transformation at will)

..... your idea is also good

For a second there i thought you meant using mammoths as ammunition, that would be a big gun!

P.S I would make an exception to the no guns rule if I could fire a mammoth at a crowd of Altmer

Wasn't aware of the Ring of Hircine. Sounds neat, though I'm not sure I want it to transform at will, maybe at will during night time. I don't feel like you should be able to in the day time.
