Dude, I just did Therana's skirt last night! Or was it at 6AM this morning? I forget. :P

Two more before bed!

http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/dagothdagger.jpg?t=1263795203

Unfortunately, the vanilla ordinator textures were insufficient for my needs (just in general, really), so this mod in its current form is now Tribunal dependent. I'll make a version without the staff, but really, everyone should have GOTY at this point :P

EDIT: Oh, also, I've done the Ashkhan's Wedding Gift (unique shirt), but due to the segmented nature of vanilla clothing, the screenie will have to come from in-game, which is a pain in the rear. However, I'll get it up soon :D

Okay, I'm sure I'm going to sound like a total new player by saying this, but what program are you using to make these awesome uniques? Surely it's not Blender?

Just NifSkope :D I'm taking existing models (such as the glass staff, in the case of my last update) and applying new textures and/or copying/pasting pieces from other models together (for example, the ball on the end of the Ancestral Wisdom Staff is taken from the ebony mace). I have zero real modeling skills; the thought of trying to make my own stuff makes me shudder :P

Unrelated to this thread, since it doesn't replace anything and it doesn't use vanilla textures, but here, have an http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/ashlhelm.jpg?t=1263844733 :D

Doesn't really look like an ashlander helmet, to me. more like some kind of swamp predator down in the black marsh that some Argonians turned into a helm, but that's just my opinion, looks great otherwise :D

Lol, I was going for a leopard or something, since one of the ashlander shirts has a leopard pelt on it. We'll call it version 1 :P

And now for a real update!

http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/bloodworm.jpg?t=1263862696

Bloodworm helm is a prototype that I'm probably going to scrap, but I wanted to show it off. Tag made using a resource by http://fantasystock.deviantart.com/art/Seamless-Parchment-Texture-58517493 and Westly's Necromancer icon :D Helm is Vallarion's face-covering Trollbone helm :D

EDIT: Proper credit where it is due ;)

Not really a "unique" (I think there's three of them on Vvardenfell), but whatever. I felt inspired :D

The Cephalopod Helm, Bloodworm Helm, and the Founder's Helm could use some work, but Trebonius' staff looks great.

As for suggestions, you might consider using some part of the arm or hand of a Bonelord with the Bloodworm Helm. Having a pair of skeletal hands as a frontal guard might work out. *shrug*

Bloodworm helm will have to be completely redone, as I accidentally deleted it :o

I edited the Founder's helm to reduce stretching on the metal part, but otherwise, I don't know what I can do to improve it. Any suggestions?

You could have fooled me. It beats my current modeling skill, which is actually zero. Where is a trainer for that skill - I'm sure I have some septims lying around... :-P This looks really good. I love seeing new artistic interpretations.

http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/sanguinebow.jpg?t=1264124087
-A little too generic
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/saintsword.jpg?t=1264124090
-too generic as well
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/saintshield.jpg?t=1264124091
-I like this one, but it does not fit in well with the sword (assuming they are from similar origins)
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/peakstarpants.jpg?t=1264124091
-perfect for what they are
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/dwemerflyingboots.jpg?t=1264124092
-I think these could look a little more mechanical
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/bonebiterbow.jpg?t=1264124092
-I like it, as generic as it should be
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/bloodfeatshield.jpg?t=1264124093
-very demonic, good
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa289/spaceinvader91/adusamirobe.jpg?t=1264124093
-look good

I'm not entirely sure on the degree of unique you wish to present here, if you want them to stand out so that we will know they are unique, or if you want them to be slightly different, but generally the same so we could pick it out on a table, but it doesn't serve much of a purpose. Or if you are doing a combination of both then feel free to ignore my comments

...Ouch :P

This was, by and large, my least favorite update. There's a LOT of unique items in Morrowind (not even counting the generic magic items like sparkswords, viperspears, etc.), and maybe I'm running out of steam on this. However, I'd like to address a few items you bring up (discounting the pants, shields and robe, except to say thanks :)).

Bow of Sanguine Sureflight- There are two shortbow models. The steel shortbow is the one I used for both bows here, because trying to adjust the UV map for the chitin shortbow gave me a headache. I don't like using custom models (except for the ones I cobble together :P), so I didn't have a lot of options to start with. There are even fewer Daedric textures that looked even a little bit feasible on the steel shortbow-- perhaps with time and practice, I could work some sorcery on the UV map to make it look great, but as it is, I worked with what I had. I'll probably revise this, along with most other items I've made so far.

Saint's Black Sword- I got nothing on this one. The guard and pommel use the textures from the shrines, same as the shield, but that's obviously not clear enough. I don't want to mess with stats or the basic theme of the original item-- the original Saint's Black Sword is an ebony shortsword, so this model, in my opinion, also had to be a shortsword. I could conceivably use one of the short Akaviri blades, but that would fit even less with the Temple theme I was going for. I have a few ideas on a second version, so keep an eye on this thread in the days to come :)

Dwemer Boots of Flying- I've always been of the opinion that the Dwemer armor in the game is, as some have suggested, cobbled together of old machines, and not the armor that the Dwemer would have worn. That said, I decided to go with a more 'fitted' look, like something that was made to be worn by people. I have complaints of my own with these boots that I won't get into here (that's why it's version .9), but short of adding propellers to the backs of the boots, I'm not sure what else I could do. I originally wanted to add the steampipes from the centurions, but I got the "can't find parent node..." message when I tried to paste them in.

Bonebiter Bow- I'm a little confused (generic as it should be?) You meant it as a complement, though, so no worries. Most of my same comments from the Sanguine bow apply here as well.

Thanks for the input, it's nice to get real criticism. I hope this didn't sound like a rant, because that isn't how I meant it. This post is more a commentary on my own frustrations and the walls I keep running into in making interesting and varied items :banghead: For example, I've been struggling with Conoon Chodala's axe for nearly a week now, with really nothing to show for it. Hopefully I didn't sound too [censored]. It's been a long day :obliviongate:

that clears a lot up, meant no offense :P
for the saints black sword, I just meant it looked like a sword you would find on any given imperial soldier, and not having the grandeur of ebony (in all their assumed rarity!) it lacks a certain amount of sophistication and flashiness, but that's just my opinion.

with the boots I never really took the "enchantments" on dwemer artifacts as enchantments, but as if they were constructed to serve their function rather then if they were imbued with crazy magic skillz. It just struck me as odd that dwemer boots (that probably weren't used for walking around :P) wouldn't be complex mechanical machines.

and as for the bow I just meant that it's just a bow that belongs to someone, not anything hand crafter in the forges deep inside the red mountain or whatever.

I'm glad to help, since I lack (for now!) the necessary skills to complete my own mods, it's great that I can be helpful in other ways. :D

These are really nice. Look forward to adding them to my very crowded load order - may have to merge it with something, hmmm, maybe a combination of all these uniquey type mods.

Progress has been fairly slow on this, I'm thinking of wrapping this up and releasing it 'as is,' but have a few updates:

More to follow, hopefully.

Question-- in NIFSkope, my bonedancer/boneweave gauntlets look like http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/1116/bonedancerweave.jpg (cropped, rotated, and repositioned in GIMP), but in-game, the extra pieces (the knuckle plate/spikes, the extra plate on the wrist) are all over the place floating around whoever equips them. I ran into this problem with the bug on Hort-Ledd's robe and a couple, unrelated, projects as well. I'm hoping this problem is common enough that I don't need to take a screenshot (yay laziness) but if I do need to, I will. Any initial impressions on why this may be happening?

Also, thoughts on the gauntlets themselves? :D

It tends to happen on skinned pieces for some reason. When combining pieces that aren't originally from the same mesh you end up with that problem, pieces all over the place. The only way I know of to fix it in NifSkope is to blindly reposition them away from where you have them now, note what changes in-game, and adjust based on what you see. A better solution likely requires a modeling program. I don't know how to fix it that way, though.
