Inspired by Alaisiagae's work (as well as my own on the Snow Prince armor ), and freed from my previous WIPs by having to format my hard drive, I felt compelled to dive into the exciting world of making the unique weapons and armor, well, unique. I like the animal fur-type one the best. Gives a nice native, shaman-like look. Perfect for hedge wizards and wandering priests...even ranger types, maybe.

By the way...PLEASE make the Robe of the Drake's Pride look different and rare...one of the most powerful robes and it's just another pink-and-yellow wrap. Meh!

Oooo! oo: Looking mighty fine! I do notice some stretching of the textures, especially on that skirts (armor and robe). For the robe, you could try... darn, this is going to be hard to explain. You can fold half the UV map over itself. It will create a mirroring effect, but it also means you can double the size of the texture over a certain area (not sure I'm describing this well at all). Am I making any sense? :unsure:

Not sure if you know, but I found this to be awesome in Nifskope: Spell > Optimize > Split Properties. This way, if you've got three meshes pointing to the same texture (only one texture entry in Nifskope), you can split it up so that you can put different textures on all three (if you are so inclined).

Ooh, I do like that second tip I'll give the first one a try as well. I was hoping the stretching wasn't obvious... :banghead:

Not particularly happy with this one. There are remarkably few Indoril textures that worked. I like the head of the mace though.

I like the one in the edit better, myself. That's a really lovely robe, so if you don't use it in the mod, could you perhaps just send it to me on the side? (Not for me to use in a release, I just have a shaman who is now dying for it.) I like the mace as well.

I'm really excited about this project, it is already looking good. :goodjob:

I love this idea! Just a couple of things: Painkiller_Rider has included some of the unique shields in his http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6383 mod, and it looks like Alaisagae is doing her own version of the Dreugh Cuirass. It might be a good idea for you two to get together to co-ordinate your mods, since they seem to be designed to complement each other.

Don't let my Conoon Chodala's boots discourage you from making your own: the one's I'm making will require Better Bodies, and I know that not everyone uses that mod.

Also, please don't feel offended or put off or anything if I work on a unique mesh or two as well. The more choices (and artistic interpretations), the better!

You know, I always wondered why that giant winged insect doesn't appear as a creature in MW - has anyone attempted to made a creature out of it yet? :lightbulb:

Veloth's Judgement looks like it's made out of wood with that texture - petrified wood perhaps. No reason that enchanting wood couldn't make it hard as stone.

TR - port tevannis has those "dren guard bugs" that can fly

edit: woah! never noticed that those were bugs on the robe, always thought it was some gem and rope...
strange, really... but after seeing "daedric bats" I don't know how well it would go over

I think I'm finished with the unique armor (discounting most of the helmets, but I've hit a wall with those-- I may try to do my own Bloodworm helm at some point though :shrug:). With Mistress Therana's skirt up there, the description on UESP says that it's a Khajiit-fur skirt (I wouldn't know, I never play Telvanni), so the texture reflects that now. As for Magebane, it's an ancient Ashlander artifact, and so I made it look the part.

EDIT: Oh, and the skirt uses a Better Clothes model. And the scarab on the sword comes from Midgetalien's Dwemer Staves. Whew!
