United Wasteland Nations

That's a bit ridiculous don't you think? That's like the state of New York attempting to cleanse the rest of the continental United States. Also, New Vegas and virtuous should never be said in the same sentence.

Welcome to the forums and no, it is nothing like that.

Its like a state thriving in a corrupt country causing the other states to realize that life isn't all that good under said country and attempting a revolution.

The Kings all the way.

Can I get an amen?

I'm all for Independent Vegas, and the Capital Wasteland BoS. Not too much for the Mohaje chapter.

Anyways, I'd make a good candidate for independent or whatever the Kings fit under.

Pistolerror Jenkins for the Enclave

And Matyr for House.

The NCR has a lot of canidates.

Elvis, although I mistaken him for a King, is actually a Legion dude.

That's really just as unlikely in my opinion though. Simply because a certain territory has a better standard of living than others doesn't mean the rest are going to rebel in order to get to the same "level."

That would be quite counter-productive on their part anyway.

Thanks. Fair enough, I read it as "New Vegas attempts to rebel against the NCR because it is corrupt" rather than "New Vegas convinces a portion of the NCR to rebel against the government". It's still ridiculous for all involved, since no one would benefit. The NCR would fall apart, royally screwing its citizens. The portion of the NCR that rebelled would now have to fend for itself or divolve into several territories. And New Vegas would lose its only source of money, outside of the Mojave, since there would no longer be an NCR to supply the saps it needs to support itself.

It would have positives and negatives, they would uproot the corruption and cause them to have to work together to rebuild their nation.

Hey Bridges! I want to start off by giving you props on this idea. I think it's imaginative, inventive and should be a lot of fun. It doesn't matter if this works or not because the experiance might help to make it better over time.

I love this idea, and I would like to be involved in any way that I can be. The first thing I'd like to do is nominate you for the NCR role, if that position hasn't been solidified yet. Pistolero for the enclave ofcourse, if he wants in.

I would never nominate myself for anything but I would like to announce my canindancy for the Boomers, the Great Khans, Surviving memebers of Vault 34, or the Fiends. If someone nominates me, I will take any of those jobs or any job that Bridges OK's as a faction. If nominated, I will do my best to debate and gain political progress for that perticular faction's own goals, for the goals that I think are important of all of us in the Mojave, and for any arguments or way of thinking that someone may convince me to capmpaign for.

If I fail to grab up one of those spots, I will participate as much as I can to support another nomine who has gained election to one of those factions. I would support the NCR and play whatever role I can in that faction.

I feel like the Boomers, the Khans and all those smaller factions should be allowed to be playable here, because even though they don't have political clout, they do play a samll role, for example, the boomers have a great arsenal, the khans have some economic power with their drug selling buisness and the fiends aren't the worst warriors in the wastland. In addition, they can be recruited or persuaded to join larger factions to make their army bigger, and play a big role that way.

I can post on this forum once or twice a day so I'll be active if selected. Agains, great idea man. I hope this takes off.

Meh. A peace process will never work, the Legion, above all others depends on a state of permanent war. They will never agree to anything less.

However, assuming that something changes, perhaps the Mojave might look a little something like this:

Allow me to explain it:

Borders are denoted by two colors, one for each country that is controlling each side of the border:

Blue for NCR
Red for Caesar's Legion
White for The Boomers
Gray for Brotherhood of Steel
Light Blue/purple for Great Khans/Super Mutants.

Green denotes military installations, either pre-existing or ones that will be proposed once the borders are finalized.

The City of New Vegas will be a Hong Kong-style "One Country, Two Systems" place. It will be a part of NCR, but with fewer taxes and corruption, with Mr. House and his Securitrons having full ownership of The Strip, and the Securitrons will be responsible for policing the rest of the City.

The Boomers will be allowed to remain isolated, as well as act as a buffer state between Legion and NCR in the North.

The Brotherhood of Steel will act as the main buffer state between NCR and Legion. They will be given control of Hidden Valley, REPCONN Test Site, REPCONN HQ, Novac, the NCRCF, Black Mountain, and HELIOS One. The Brotherhood must protect Novac, but not militarize the city, and it must leave its citizens unmolested. Novac must also remain open to trade with the NCR. Unarmed NCR observers will remain in Novac to ensure both of these criteria are met. The Brotherhood may not close any roads or railroads to caravan trade OR NCR Troop movements, and may confiscate advanced technology IF AND ONLY IF acceptable compensation is given to owners of said technology. The Brotherhood must also kill, or otherwise pacify the Powder Gangers at NCRCF and the Super Mutants at Black Mountain. They may not militarize any areas besides Their border with the Legion, Hidden Valley and Helios One. Brotherhood Paladins may be conscripted to act as a reserve force for the NCR in the Mojave.

The Great Khans will be moved out of Red Rock Canyon and into the Jacobstown region, where they will be trained in becoming productive members of a society by the Super Mutants there. In exchange for this training, all Super Mutants/ Nightkin there will be given full NCR citizenship and be pardoned of any crimes that may have been committed by them during membership in The Master's Army.EDIT **NCR observers will oversee the rehabilitation of the Great Khans. After the City of Jacobstown's Great Khans have been rehabilitated, an election will be called for. Sane Super Mutants and rehabilitated Khans will vote on whether or not Jacobstown will be annexed into the NCR.**

The few former Enclave members in the Mojave will have also have any crimes that they may have committed pardoned, but they must remain in the Mojave; they may not integrate into the NCR.

The Followers of the Apocalypse must not be forced to move from their current locations by Mr. House, the Brotherhood of Steel, or the NCR. However, NCR advisors must be present in all Followers locations to ensure that the Followers are not giving aid to unsavory figures(ie, fugitives from NCR/ Brtoherhood law, Great Khans, any escaped Fiends, Freeside Thugs, etc)

The Fiends are to be killed, by NCR and Securtron forces, with possible Brothehood reinforcements.

The Vault 19 Powder Gangers will be given the option to surrender. If they refuse, they die.

The Legion will be given full control of the Southwestern Mojave. The NCR and Brotherhood may militarize their borders with trenches and bunkers.

In exchange for cession of the Souhwestern Mojave, the NCR will be given full control of Hoover Dam and the region immediately surrounding it.

Much of Lake Mead and the Colorado is to be a heavily mined "No Man's Land".

EDIT: Do we have anybody to moderate the Wasteland UN? I consider myself to be impartial and understanding of all sides and their motives, but I can only post from 4:00pm to 11:00 Eastern Standard Time. Is that acceptable?
That's my draft for a peace in the Mojave. Questions?

Perhaps not rebel, but instead push for massive internal anti-corruption reforms. It is a Republic, after all.

Hey, Tel Prydain ... I nominate you for the amassador of Jacobstown. I have made no secret in my last post that I'm looking to land an amabasadorship myself So if you'd nominate me for any of those positions, specificaly the Khans or Brother hood I'd appreciate it and vow to take it seriously. However, I'm not sure if Bridges would allow it, as Jacobstown wasn't mentioned in his orgional post. Also, I admit that I'm engaging in some pollitcs here but I'm excited about the idea so ...

Here is a list of my nominations, I havent been on this forum long so I'm going on what little I know of other people from their posts and people who other people seem to think would work. First, the factions that Bridges has already approved.

NCR- Bridges
House- Martyr
Independent -
Enclave- pistolero
legion-
apocalpse-
Khans-
brother hood-

And now here are the factions that I hope will be allowed to particpate in the United Wasteland. I would be proud to be nominated for any of these positions, in fact, I would like to be nominated for these positions over any of the ones that have already been approved. and again, I promise to take it seriously.

The Fiends-
Boomers-
Vault 34 Survivors- ( Their vault doesn't work anymore but there are alot of weapons in their armory and they might make a good hunting and gathering society while their ambasasador figures out what to ask for of and what to offer to the United Wasteland )
Jacobstown- tel prydian

So to anybody who is interested in this, I still haven't nominated anyone for the brotherhood, khans, followers, legion, independent vegas, fiends, boomers and Vault 34. If you want in, make your case for my nomination and I'll nominate the guy who I think will do the best the job. I don't know if Bridges will let you in for the unapproved factions, but just in case.

AS for myself? Again, I'd take it seriously, I wouldn't phone it in. I'd consider my factions needs and streagnths and I'd try to make this the intellgent social experiment it can be. Really got my fingers crossed for the boomers, but if you want the boomers, any other faction would do. I'd still nominate someone for the faction that I'm up for because that's how the system would work best. thanks for reading.

Hey roughnecks, I'll put you down, I'm just gonna wait until tomorrow evening in case we get other people's bids for nomination. If I chose someone else for the brother hood I might put you down for someone else.

You should nominate people yourself, I'm sure you know more about the people on this forum than I do.

I pretty much agree with the currents.

Styles for NCR
Colonel Martyr for House
Pistolero or The Enclave for Enclave
Don't know about Caesar
Don't know Independent
BoS, if no one wants to bother I will, I'm sure there is a super BoS enthusiast out there greater than me.
FoTA Don't know.

Don't know if it works like this, but I'll throw my hat in the ring for BoS.
Even though I'm more of a MW or CW BoS man and not so much the true Western BoS, so I'd probably svck.
For the rest;
NCR: Styles
House: Colonel Martyr
Enclave: The Enclave
Legion: Gabriel77dan
Done know for the rest.

I am flattered so many wish to elect me, democratically and wholly in a traditionally American manner, as the representative of the Enclave. I mostly represent the current Enclave force in the East while Mr. Enclave is specialized on Enclave remnants on the West Coast. Nonetheless we both share our interests and either will proudly carry their weight and restore America to what it is meant to be: the world policeman and the last bastion of Western civilization.

We will restore this nation. America will be reborn, and the Enclave will be its sole vanguard and restore Earth to our children and their children. Human will take back that which is rightfully ours!

To be honest, I can't decide between House and Legion.

House is an amazing character. He handles everything with the utmost calculation and efficiency.

Legion have many positives, but Caesar on a cross they come with a [censored] load of baggage. The shunning of technology does make sense in that it forces Legionaries to utilise pure strength and makes them fierce warriors, but one on one, a gun will take down a machete-wielder any day. The Legion make use of tactics fit to apply to melee, and do use some guns, but they already begin on a downslope. The sixism, while loosely taken from the Ancient Roman Empire, is just another example of not making use of resources. Allowing women to become Legionaries would just bolster the ranks. And when Edward Sallow dies, who knows what will happen?

But yeah, I love then Legion. And I love House. Not sure which to choose.

Edit: And know I realise this is off-topic.
