That's a good summation of some of the exact reasons I don't support the Legion (I chose House).

When I first played New Vegas, I found myself torn between the Legion and House. Largely because the Legion represented a way to utterly destroy the NCR (me being an Enclave supporter of course). I found however, that I couldn't support the Legion on principle even if they were opposed to a faction I greatly disliked.

That and I realized that House simply has a much better plan for the future than Caesar could ever dream up.

House has a better plan, yes. He's taken near-every variable into account, and planed it for Maker knows how long. But the plan is for Vegas alone. Things mostly change for the better throughout the Mojave due to the Legion and the NCR being pushed out, not because of a direct intervention by House. The Legion plans to conquer all under their banner and provide stability and safety, so long as you abide by their rules. There is a chance that the Legion may fall apart as soon as Edward dies, and we don't know what civilised land under Legion control is like. Because of all the unknowns, basing my support for the Legion is left a lot to assumption.

House is undeniably the best choice for the Mojave, I agree. I don't know what the Legion will do if the claim Vegas, yet House has everything planned out, which is why find myself in a difficult situation.

At least in the beginning. In the long term, and being 260+ years old, i'm sure things beyond Vegas have been taken into account.

Hey Guys. I'm gonna put on my serious face for a minute. It looks something like this. :grad:

I noticed that bridges hasn't been on this forum since the 6th. It's now the 11th. Maybe he forgot about this or maybe he decided not to do it. So what I figured I'd do is, I'd start a new thread and get this United Wasteland thing going.

Now, I don't want to blatantly steal some other fellas idea so if Bridges jumps back on before I get mine underway I might back off and let him take control again.

What I'd thought I’d do is, wait 24 hours, let the whole thing breath, and in the mean time, anybody on this thread that would like to participate in my thread, reply here and let me know what faction you would be interested in.

I'm thinking about doing this with 13 factions that I'll name tomorrow after the 24 hours. I'm willing to do it with more or less, and I'm interested in hearing ideas about factions that you might think would be interesting.

Guys on this thread that have expressed interest would get first dibs but I'll try to get everyone in.

Also, I'd try to do it on a time table. For example, we'd have 24 -48hours to sort out who would represent what faction, another 24 hours to take in the rules and format and decided what our strategies would be.

When we finally begin, I think it might take 5 days to get going, probably less, I think we can rap this up in a week.

Let me know what you think about me doing this and also, I'd be interested in any ideas. If you want in reply here and start thinking to yourself about what your factions legitimate needs are, what their own personal aspirations are and what assets you can offer to the wasteland as a whole and to potential allies.

Bridges, hope you don't think I'm trying to steal the show here, if you jump back on before we get the bowl rolling, I'll back down.

I'm not sure if they're taken or not but I'll rep for the Kings if nobody else is, since Styles has got NCR and they're my backup faction anyway.

Edit: Now that I think about it they'd probably be covered under Independent

He apex, I was thinking We'd do the Followers and the Kings as 2 different groups in freeside. The kings being more relaxed about Life style choices, partnering up with the Atomic wrangler and various Citizens that like to rebel. While the followers would also have many freeside citizens, they'd be more into a stricter way of life, no drugs, no drinking. their medical expertise would be thier streagnth and the king's muscle and desire to look out for people would be theirs.

Remember, this is before the final battle and before the courier so there would be tension between them and the kings.
