As the title says I get a "Unkown error" whenever I try to install skyrim. Anyone know why?

If the error is unknown, then how could we even begin to help?

Are you trying to install it from a disc, from Steam?

From a disc through steam. The error is a steam error I believe. I do have Skyrim in my library on steam now. If I can figure out a way to post pictures on here I will post a screen shot. I get this website when I click the support button "https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9361-YAGV-7766&l=english"

We really need more information. Did you change anything to your system recently? Did you install/upgrade any other software like an AV or Anti-spyware application that may affect Skyrim and/or Steam.

Try disabling your AV before attempting to install Skyrim.

We really need a screenshot of that error message. Upload it to some hosting site like TinyPic or whatever and then just link to it.

Have you tried wiping out ClientRegistry.blob from the Steam directory?

Go to your Steam directory wherever you installed Steam to and find that file and either delete it or move it somewhere else. Make sure Steam is shutdown first. Once you do that, restart Steam.

So far what I have done is:

- Tried installing via cd

- Tried installing via steam client

- Disabled AV and tried installing

- Deleted Cliantregistry.blob and tried to install.

Do a complete refresh of the Steam directory.

Not a problem, I glad it worked, because I was running out of ideas :P. Enjoy Skyrim.
