Unlikely valentine bugged out? SPOILERS! : Fallout 4

I'm at vault 114 and my character plugs his pipboy in, hits the glass but the glass doesn't open. Is this glitched or am I missing something?

On PC btw and it would seem I'm not the only one having the problem from my google search. I'd rather not clip my way into the vault
