Seriously Crytek why is the console locked? Why can I not use custom configs????

You make the graphics settings ridiculously limited and then lock the console.........

I think it will be unlocked at retail, Also, in an article they said if people dont like the limited settings thing(cant believe they thought anyone would) then they will switch it back to the C1 way.

The console is a the developers console that you can open in game and enter command variables. You can change individual graphics settings this way.

I think the limited settings bit won't be in the final game, given the negative feedback. However, for the demo there are several programs floating around. I use one to get rid of the motion blur and expand the FOV a tad. Works great.
