[Wipz] Unnecessary Violence II + I'm Back

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:39 am

Well, a busy week is past. Had a good weekend working on this last weekend, and hopefully another this weekend too. This week has been to crazy to get anything done sadly. I have, however finished building my todo list (that took most of last weekend with testing) and started getting back into the coding. Ah OBScript - like putting on an old comfortable shoe, then remembering it's full of bloody holes ;)

Lots of odds and ends to do, but nothing too fundamental I think. More updates soon.

Thanks for the diligence Hex. Youre one of the greatest!

HeX0ff, there is an unnoticed bug in UV1: When you throw weapon to sky (under 90 angles and sometimes in lower angles) it gets stuck in the sky? Did you solve this?

HeX0ff can you please answer this question when you get online?

It's not unnoticed. It's to do with the trig where I calculate the weapon flightpath. That said, weapon sticking works differently now so it should be better in UVII.

Hi Hex...

I am glad you survived it! I got hit by a car and had a head injury 27 years ago. So we should start a club...maybe call it the OFFICIAL BETHESDA GAME LOVING HEAD INJURY SURVIVORS or something!!!!!!

Will you post the latest trailer before releasing? Because you mentioned that speed of some left handed attacks have been increased in order to match the vanilla ones

wow. I was just looking for news about UVII and here it is. I am very sorry about the injuries and everything! Hope you have a speedy and complete recovery! Also am glad to hear about UVII getting back in the fight, I am very much looking forward to trying it out when its released. I have to say my favorite parts of it are the wall climbing and the dual wielding. I'll probably end up using everything B)

EDIT: also i was wondering if this has any KNOWN conflicts with FCOM? Not sure how much testing you have done with it or if you have even tested this with it. This is also a question for anyone else who may know. If no one knows then feel free to disregard this question

Facebook - there isn't a latest trailer. They take time to make, and since I have less time to work on it than I had in the past I'd rather spend the development time actually building the mod ;)

Saint 777 - As far as I know there should be no conflicts with FCOM, my own build has an FCOM install so that's what I've been working with. If there are conflicts with any well known mods I"ll make sure they're made clear.

Woohoo, a week's vacation and a chance to put in some serious hours on modding instead of the random couple of hours here and there I've had for the last few weeks.

Should have some good news to share soon :) :)

i was in the skyrim forum and made a thread about what if we could play the lute..... then i remembered your mod and remembered hearing you had broken your wrist.

i now see it was much more than that. glad your still with us. and i cant wait to play your mod!!!! especially when i retire my current rig and build a new one that can run Crysis.

any ways since you were out of commission for the last few eventful months i just have to ask what do you think of Skyrim? is there anything from it that your thinking about applying to your mod? i would PM this but as you said it is full.

Don't do that or you'll start being anxious for it again.

Time for a little progress update. Had a very good few weeks. Lots of stuff done. Lots of bugs fixed. Am having a new problem with one of my menu scripts suddenly not working any more for what reason I"ve yet to discover. Just running through all the features to see what works and what might have become broken is a massive chore, but generally its all going very well and I"m on course for a release in the not too distant future. As usual life and work slow down my modding, but never mind. Its all as fun and exciting as ever.

Really I just wanted everybody to be sure I wasn't vanishing again ;)

I've got a masters student this year doing some oblivion modding for his dissertation, so he might pop up looking for some help at some stage. He's a nice, if slightly shy lad and I hope people will support him (to some extent) when he starts poking about here.

That's awesome: tell him to PM me if he likes; if nothing else, I should be able to help with navigating the Wiki.

The only other explanation would be that he is involved with human trafficing :P. I wonder how much a master's student doing a dissertation on oblivion modding costs nowadays
