Pretty sure Trial accounts can't check their mail at all.

Darn, that stinks. Alright, thanks.

I'm downloading WoW patches right now. I haven't played since January of this year, so I have a few to go. Hopefully, when it's all done (I think I'm on the last one, Ruby Sanctum?) I'll be able to play again. Gah.
I've missed WoW so bad, and I just realized after a 6 month hiatus from the game, I can probably play casually again. I'm an ex hardcoe raider (when I say hardcoe, I mean 97th top US guild) and I would really love to come back to that, but I can't however. :(
But, I'll just be glad to be back honestly, and chat with old friends I have no other way communicating with.
Haha, man, opening up the World of Warcraft folder and clicking the icon, signing in, etc to download the patches, such a feeling of nostalgia. Did it for 5 years, and then didn't for 6 months. Quite a feeling.

Is your crit chance supposed to change randomly?

Because today it was at 27.1%, and then 10 or 20 minutes later I looked at it, and it was 26.7%. I never removed any gear or anything like that.

Could have been a buff as already stated, or it could have been because you leveled up. Each time you level your crit chance goes down a bit.

is their a way to check mail even if your on a trial, because a friend of mine sent me 2g.

I don't remember if I used or received mail during my trial (even between alts), but there's a mailbox outside every inn, and usually several scattered around major cities. Just right-click on it to send and pick up mail. If you can't, then you'll know for sure. You can also click the little tracking icon on the map up in the right corner, and have it track mailboxes, just to make finding them easier at first.

So, I downloaded all the patches for WoW and I'm now able to play again, bought a game card and logged in.
Overall, it's not that bad, I have about a 1 second delay on my abilities but I think I can live through that honestly.

Anyone else read up on the http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/07/07/blizzard-overhauling-world-of-warcraft-talent-system-in-cataclysm.aspx

Not sure what I think of it.

I read that, Suffca, and I don't really like it honestly. Not being able to respec until level 70? I find that a bit odd.

I don't remember reading anything about it before now, but I don't like the sound of it. Now they're speccing for us? Next expansion I suppose we won't even need to use our mouse or keyboard, they'll move our characters for us too.

I'll have to see what the new trees look like though. I like the option of making a hybrid, and don't like being forced into one cookie-cutter design over another one, but I don't know all the details yet.

My initial reaction is that I don't like it. One of the great things about WoW is your ability to mix up your talents to customise your character as you go along. Having to choose your spec at level 10 and stick with it for all that time seems a bit harsh. Maybe if they cut out a lot of the boring talents (extra chance to hit with off-hand etc) and just filled the talent trees with interesting abilities it might make more sense. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Well, I read the official WoW forum post about it, and it's supposed to remove all the filler junk that has been snowballing since the beginning, stuff like added Dodge or Parry effects, which aren't "interesting" which wouldn't be too bad, especially if it added more of the special moves, the talent specific moves, like Divine Storm, or Whirlwind.

What I think the problem is now, if you wanted a good tank warrior, you'd nee to spec into two or three of the trees for Dodge, parry, block and it just becomes a talent dump for other talents. 41 talent points seems odd still.

yeah Shadow seems cool but there not much healers (not healer at all) when they go into Shadow Form and the shadow form thing seems to be the base around alot of the Shadow talents later on. I'll make either a Dranei or Night Elf Priest and try em out.

Shadow priests are overpowered IMO. At the beginning they don't have much going for them but later on a lot of their weaknesses disappear. They get a silence, a disarm, instant multi-person fear, heal themselves for approximately 2/3 damage they do and 8% to party members. I have done some crazy stuff with my shadow priest. Like take on a warrior, rogue, dk, and hunter without dying but they ended up face down. I also tanked the Devourer of Souls at 50% to 0% in Heroic Forge of Souls.

If you plan to play a priest put shadow at least as secondary spec. They can be a blast to play.

I may change over to blood elf soon. Maybe the most over used Horde race but they're awesome.

Good to hear you're back BoH.

And now, time for a few stories from the wild world of Wintergrasp.

I got tired and fed up with all the scumbag farmers in Sholazar (Leaving a node with 1 crystallized element in it? Seriously, what the [censored]?), I headed over to WG to try my luck there. 2 hours later, I left with 30 Titanium and over 200 Saronite. I've been making a killing selling stacks of Saronite bars and individual Titansteel bars since then.

Now time for a horror story:
The Horde must be really desperate to win WG, because one of them got on their lvl 80 Alli alt, got raid lead, and booted us all at once, two battles in a row. Twice in a row. Just so they could get a cheap VoA. :meh: At least it eliminated the 13 stacks of tenacity they had.

Also got my first piece of frost gear (cape)and finished my T9 set. :celebration:

And very nice, the frost gear is really nice stuff. My next purchase will probably be the Vengeful Noose, the leather belt with all that ArP on it and 2 sockets, 3 counting the blacksmith belt buckle. :) Gonna be sick.

Alight, I'll try it, but I'm going to get rid of at least one of my other guys. I have too many, either my Dranei Shaman or Undead Warlock.

I'd say keep the lock but then again my warlock is an undead and first character so I'm partial to them. Another thing about shadow priests I forgot to mention was the spell Mind Control. You can use this spell for all kinds of hijinks. I use it in Arathi Basin a lot at the lumber mill. I take over control and make the person jump off the cliff to their death. You used to be able to take control of Gamon in Orgrimmar and knock people off of mounts. I upset a lot of people with that one  .

Well, I already got a BElf mage, a Undead Warlock, and a troll hunter on the server (area 52) so I'll probably get rid of one of em eventually. But like I said, I'm more of a soloing person with a bit a dungeon when I got the quests for them.

I'm leveling an undead priest called Sylvia at the moment. As soon as I can I'm going for the fishing title because Salty Sylvia is too much of an awesome name not to have :D She's leveling as discipline by mainly healing in dungeons in between questing then I'm going shadow sometime in the mid 40s.

I'm faction changing my 80 DK and transferring it to my horde realm so all my toons are one faction, one server.

Holy armor pen, Batman! That's a nice warrior you got there :)

I'm not an elitist jerk but I couldn't help chuckling at an unholy DK I inspected yesterday. He was wearing a mixture of holy pala gear and had gemmed for spirit and + mana and all 71 points were in Unholy. Heres his armory, just look at it: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Chamber+of+Aspects&cn=Renebarra I mean, play the game to have fun, sure, it's what it's all about. But at least have some sort of clue how your character is meant to work. I would love to have seen the party chat when he won some of those items.

Holy God. I've seen fail in my day but this? What the hell haha.
I don't know what I like better - his shield block gloves, or his CRAFTED (he made them or bought them) Holy Paladin boots.
