People are douchebags. I was in the RDF doing Zul'Farrak. I was my Pally tank and there was this Warlock who kept complaining about how I was tanking "Stop going so slow" "Stop Going So Fast" "Your pulling too much" "Your not pulling enough" Etc...

He was really annoying and noone else had a problem with what I was doing we all told him to shut the hell up. We couldnt kick him for some reason. But we get to the final boss and he NEEDS on a plate shoulder pads. What an [censored]. I really needed them and so did the warrior in our group.

Wow, what a lame ass, The Gate Keeper. There are people like that for some reason.
For instance, last night while doing the random dungeon daily, our "tank" had his dps gear on the first few pulls, almost died. We then ask him, and actually politely, "hey, can you put your tank gear on".
He does, and then pulls half the instance and teleports out of the dungeon, killing everyone but him.
....
That makes sense, huh.

These are the Pauldrons I got screwed out of. The vendor value was only 1g 50s and it disenchants into a small raidient shard which doesnt sell on the AH. What a [censored] just to screw someone over like that.

Oh yeah, I agree. Was just being a [censored] bag. Those are good shoulders too. If you were on my server I'd power you through instances. :D

I'm not an elitist jerk but I couldn't help chuckling at an unholy DK I inspected yesterday. He was wearing a mixture of holy pala gear and had gemmed for spirit and + mana and all 71 points were in Unholy. Heres his armory, just look at it: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Chamber+of+Aspects&cn=Renebarra I mean, play the game to have fun, sure, it's what it's all about. But at least have some sort of clue how your character is meant to work. I would love to have seen the party chat when he won some of those items.

Yea that's why my DK always has a hard time finding raiding PuG's. People like that just make half decent players look bad. The thing is there is a lot of plate spellpower wearing, Mp5 gemming, talent tree horrors stories. If you look around you can find them. I'm no elitist either but it gets frustrating when your whole class is labeled noobs.

Edit: I just looked through that unholy talent tree of his and he picked all but three talents in that tree. Two of which are very important in unholy dps. No minor glyphs either. It's like he tried to make that character as bad as possible.

...and there was this Warlock...

Gnome?

I *finally* downed the Lich King on Friday.

Gratz! :goodjob:

At first I thought you said "downloaded," and I was wondering how the heck you got to 80 without LK

I felt like a total noob last night. I was running BRD with a group, and someone whispered me to let me know she was running an add-on that showed I needed to upgrade my Frost Armour to Ice Armour. She was nice about it, and I thanked her for saying something, then checked the trainer after the run just to be sure I hadn't missed it. Didn't see anything, so I checked my spellbook.

There it was, and had been since 40

Wouldn't have felt as bad if I hadn't done some dumb things I knew not to do (like not running to the tank when I aggro'd Thaurissan), and already felt kinda noobish to begin with.

So at 68 should I start heading over to Northrend or stick around longer in Outland?

Just wondering since I don't want to waste any time with the trial.

You can head straight to Northrend, there's no point sticking around unless you want to complete each zone before you move on. I was level 70 before I hit Northrend but that's because I was going for quest achievements. The first lot of quest rewards you get in Northrend are pretty good and well worth it.

You can go at 68 but I honestly don't recommend it. I recommend sticking it out until 70 then going to Northrend. I say this because I personally have a very strict/structured leveling route that starts at level 70, and if you go 2 levels earlier, it wont be the same and it just irritates me to no end having to look for quest to do because I'm not 2 levels higher.

So I went with going to Northrend and questing is fun and easy. I picked up a little gear but I really need to take the time to get better stuff.

Any comments on my toon? http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Windrunner&cn=Suffca

Nagrand is the only worthwhile zone in Outland IMO. I spent 2 levels in each zone in Northrend, going to Borean at 68 to Dragonblight at 70, then Zul'drak, then Sholazar, then Icecrown from 78-80. Suffca, if you're still Alliance and in Grizzly Hills, make sure you get the quest from the bowl of nuts at the Alliance outpost there. One of the funniest quests in the game IMO.

So I went to an ICC 25 pug last night, got up to Professor Putricide. We killed Gunship on heroic, netting us some nice iLevel 277 items. A caster trinket dropped, heroic version, all the casters completely went crazy, apparently it's best in slot for most caster classes. Warlock won it.
I myself walked away with a new ring, and a new version of my rep ring, got revered. 5583 GS now.

About the same GS as my warrior I think, haven't done much 25 man on him though, I'll be happy if only that damn shield from 10man gunship would drop, I'm so [censored] tired of having an item level 200 shield dragging down the rest of my gear, and farming HoR normal for a slightly better one (219) is so frustrating I can't even think of words to describe it. My other gear is getting there though, I just need to get enough emblems for the tier 10 helmet and shoulders, then see about getting the chest drop from Deathwhisper or some other chestpiece I can't remember, only going for two parts of tier 10 I think, though if I have enough for the chest later and nothing better to use I might buy it.

I've just been a bit burned out lately, WoW is usually up and down for me in terms of interest, some times I'm really into it and having a blast, but it's mostly when levelling a new character or when I have a lot of fun stuff to do, and I'm not levelling another character untill Cataclysm is released I think, who knows, I might just make a caster or something I've never really tried much, though with all the changes to low level characters in Cata, it'll be hard to get through it knowing that it'd be much quicker and easier to do once it's released, I'll probably get back to it very soon.

I still don't understand where you get the money to pay for artisan riding training. It's 5000g and I only have 1300. D:

Making money is easy! What level are you? Cause if your 80, I can make 5k gold in about 3 days easily.

@Urge;
I understand being burned out. I was burned out a while ago too, took a break, came back and started loving the game more.
I took a 5 month break because of my net issues, and now I'm having a blast again. Even though my connection is pretty crappy, I can still function.
I pulled 8k dps in VoA today, not bad for 1500 ms lat, terrible raid synergy, and no icy talons for haste.

Yeah, I took a 6 month or so long break a a few years ago, and the game was much more fun for me when I got back, I missed it, even though I had a lot of other stuff to occupy myself with. I'm not thinking of anything that drastic now though, I just don't play as often as my friends do, as often as I used to, obviously that does hinder my gear progression a bit, but I'm honestly not that bothered by it, my gear isn't bad by any means (Except the shield that is) and it'll certainly work for 80-85 I think, and I do ICC10 ever weekend with a PuG group consisting of real life friends and some people from the best Alliance guilds on our server, so it's a good group, though obviously not perfect as not everyone can make it for each run, we've only gotten to Putricide, but I got a sweet sword from him, so I'm pretty happy with our PuG progress.

I'm just taking some time to play other games or do other things, I always come back the game in the end. Though seeing all the things Cata will change (I like all of it really, I don't see streamlining as dumbing down, rather as a good thing to make the game more acessible to new players, and also make the game a bit more engaging) is kind of putting me off WoW in it's current form, I can't wait for Cata to be released, though once the Old Republic is released, it has a very real chance of grabbing all my attention, and more importantly, my monthly fee :P

You can get the price down to 4k if you get your rep up to exalted with the Valiance Expedition.
My two cousins should be switching an 80 or two each to my server, so it should be fun playing with them.

I need to find some better ways for making money.

Thanks for the heads up Spork but 4k is still far away for me.

Mining is pretty profitable by itself, and selling the level 80 epics you craft from blacksmithing should get you a fair amount.

Get that mining going! Very lucrative because it supports three professions -- check the AH for prices and availability on both ores and bars, because both will sell, and selling just the ores can save time. Check out quests too, offhand I know 4 silver bars are needed for a Gnomer quest, and 2 thorium bars for the key to Scholo, and those stacks can sell faster than a stack of 20 sometimes; I like to break up the stacks too, in case someone doesn't need a whole stack of 20, but I don't break up ALL the stacks like some people do. Too obnoxious <_<

I've been doing that as well, using my gathering profs to make some money in the AH because 70 just kinda snuck up on me. Can be a bit of a grind though, so maybe pop in a movie or take someone with you for company.

Good tip about NR rep, because my orc already has 4k. Really need to get back to him anyway, not only do I want him to be my first 80, but he's been working on Netherwing rep for the mount.
