Oh yea. The Ice Stone has melted! I got the Frostscythe from Ahune. Would look great on a Forsaken Frost Mage but the stats are kind of a letdown.

One of the toons had over 4k gold mainly from selling different things in the AH over time, but I spent a couple thousand to get a guild running for myself and some friends (was happy to, and glad I did). The other toon is hovering around 1k gold, also from selling in the AH (how the one made so much more is beyond me though).

One does skinning/LW, the other mining/BS, so should I just sell mats? Neither have run dungeons, and I don't think they've done many OL quests other than in Hellfire (even then it was pretty much just Thrallmar/HH). I've heard Nagrand is a profitable place, but no specifics beyond grinding ogres.

How do other people afford the training and mounts at 70? I feel utterly clueless.

Making money in WoW is honestly now hard. My account that's been inactive since..february 13th of 2010 has about..45k gold on it. And that's from me just selling things once in a while. Few 3k+ items here and there, and the gold from raiding, dailies, etc.

I don't believe so. I think the only thing that is free is if you transfer from a higher pop. server to a lower one.

It's not even that simple, there are only like 2-3 servers that are eligible, i.e. considered too highly populated, that people can transfer from for free.

Something I'd noticed is that after around level 50, gear I found as drops was harder to sell in the AH. I figured players preferred getting better gear by then as quest rewards, especially in Outlands and Northrend, so now I just hold onto things an alt might need, and DE the rest. Both toons can make some epic gear now, but I haven't tried making any of it to sell yet. My enchanters are just at Master level now IIRC, and can make some cash from selling pre-BC mats, but unfortunately both markets are saturated with scrolls.

I have more gold on my Belf lock then my Nelf Druid did like until 77 and he was my first 80. My lock is level 70. Plus I've had soem good luck with finding rare pets. I found the Ravasuar Hatchling, google it if you want to know how BA it is.
