I'll do. Second thing, also minor (well, for me, I don't care... ^_^) is that once ScreenEffects loads up, the screen turns grey and I have to use that Matrix item. Anyway, load order (Working FCOM! Yay! ^_^):

€: Checked on that grey screen thing, the person mentioning it on TES has solved it and I could do it the same way.
Oh, and replace the No Color Diverse Dungeons esp in that list with the Subtle one, tried loading it after and before Ambient, same thing happened.

OK, for the grey screen, make sure that the values in your Ambient Dungeons ini for contrast are not 0, that's what causes grey screens. Also, while this is not related, you shouldn't be using Enhanced Weather with All Natural, All Natural has all the EW stuff it needs without EW being installed too. So get rid of one of them.

I have a feeling I have to look at how Diverse Dungeons works before I can solve this.

Oh, now I know what I missed. Getting rid of EW is still on my get-rid-of list, no wonder I was so puzzled why I had five mods more than I calculated. ^_^
Well, that grey screen I've got rid of by installing Pluggy, since it was mentioned in the ScreenEffects comments on the Nexus. But thanks for the info. :hehe:

Has anyone tried this with Let There Be Darkness? Its suppossed to be like Darker Dungeons but even darker. Just wondering what ini setting are good for both those mods since LTBD is already extremely dark.

LTBD isn't 'even darker', you can't go darker than pitch black. What it does do is also change the fog to black, so you don't get grey fog in the darkness edge-defining everything.

In a twist of irony, I don't use this, as ScreenEffects started to cause me crashes on my new install, so I can't help with ini values. Just try whatever you used with Darker Dungeons.

EDIT: What I'd do is try to offset AD's darker effect, so that it doesn't handicap you further. So let LTBD control how dark it is, but then have AD's shading effects applied on top of that. It probably requires you to raise the brightness through AD, as the contrast changes will make dark stuff look darker. I dunno.

Ya I'll try DD and AD together now good idea. If I just use the screencontrols.esp to change the saturation, contrast, brightness etc. that has the same effect as changing the AD ini settings right since it's all based on the screeneffects.esm so if I add .2 to brightness in screencontrols that would bring me back to 1 brightness in dungeons right? but it'll make everything else brighter too oh yea forgot that :banghead: One other thing I seemed to notice, and I'm not completely sure of this but it seemes that screencontrols makes the screen a bit darker once it goes on, I mean without any screeneffects mods even, and with default settings and streamsmooth off.

I had a question about this mod...
Its awesome and all, but with the way screen effects just 'pastes' over an effect - it makes all 'brighter torches' mods rather redundant!

I really appreciate the total darkness that some areas in dungeons have to offer, but if I bring a torch it only lights up a pitifull circle of light around me - really not helping very much.

So how would I go about resolving this? I dont particularly want to raise the brightness in all dungeons because that defeats the point of bringing a torch in the first place..

Let There Be Darkness -actually- removes light from the dungeon. I'd reccomend leaving the brightness-es at 1, here. Saturation a little lower looks good, but LtbD does a much better job of darkenation. (For example, NPCs aren't affected, here. LtbD makes sneakery much easier!)

Ah Hah! I solved my little issue above... I found a different torch mod which produces a really nice effect with Darker Dungeon + Ambient dungeons.

Now I just need to figure out how to stop You are here from spamming up my console and decide if I want LTBD or DD....

I'm Having the same problem and it's even worse with me.
Every minute or so and with every cell change I get a weird green (magical) cloud effect going past me and a boom sound. This happens every time I see the Is Forest? check in my console.
It makes the game unplayable.

I'm using the latest versions of 'You Are Here', 'Screeneffects' and Ambient Dungeons.
The problem occurred when I did a complete reinstall of Oblivion yesterday, because I wanted all latest updates after not playing for a while.

I also had this problem on my brothers PC when I installed Oblivion on his system (with exactly the same mod setup as my problem less setup before re?nstalling)

I used Boss and have a Bashed Patch.

Sorry I haven't provided much (read: any) support. Oblivion more or less committed suicide on my laptop about a month after I released this. I have, however, gotten a brand new laptop and Oblivion is working again (with a lot less stutter and very high quality graphics, too)!

I'll try to help with any issues people may have with this, but I can't guarantee I'll be able to help. Honestly, I'm not a good modder. :P

yep, I did some checking and it really seems like the tones for forests and Ayleid Ruins are switched around. pretty easy to notice since forests are very saturated yet it's the ayleid ruins that are supposed to be saturated.

EDIT: Yes, I do have access. This mod is technically finished with (as far as my contribution is concerned), but I'll fix this bug.

OK, an update on the update:

Changes are currently:
- I've removed ScreenEffects dependancy. All this has done is cut out the 'middle man', so to speak, since SE is a platform which makes it easy for your average modder to get such effects, by letting them set variables which then get passed to SE and then through OBGE before being seen on screen. However, I know enough about shaders to do these effects myself, through OBGE directly, cutting out the need for an extra plugin. You still need OBGE though, that hasn't changed.
- I've fixed the forests and ruins having the wrong values.
- I've increased the speed at which You Are Here classifies locations, so there will be less delay in the effects being applied.
- I've removed the console spam that YAH does about the classification of the location.

I'm on the last hurdle, which is getting the fade in of effects working, something which was reported to not work in the past. For some reason it won't play nice, but I expect a release sometime today.

It will still work well with all natural and let there be darkness, right? I couldn't play without these 3. Makes playing oblivion much more intensive.

Changelog:

- Removed dependance on ScreenEffects - now Ambient Dungeons applies its effects through its own shader file.
- Fixed bug with variables doing the wrong things.
- Decreased delay in You Are Here indentifying environments.
- Removed console spam generated by You Are Here.
- Fixed Effect Fade variable.

I do have a question, though: which version of obge.dll comes with this download? Timeslip's or the debugged one that you can find on TesNexus? the debugged one is supposed to fix CTDs some users were having when moving to and from interiors/exteriors. it also seems like it requires an additional dll to work, d3dx9_40_dll , or at least my setup was complaining about the absence of it and obge effects wouldn't work. after I added the dll, everything worked fine though.

It's got the debugged DLL. You should have the directX dll if you keep your computer up to date. It's got nothing to do with oblivion modding.
