No. Sub is the only way to watch Clannad (or anime period IMO)

Also, get your tissue box ready for After Story, for if you are human, you will cry when watching it.

Oh no

Now I'm going to have to start watching Clannad again

One of the best animes ever

Ever

Ever

Ever

Ever

Did I mention ever?

I watched 17 episodes of Juuni Kokki. It's an older anime and it's really good. It has a lot of character development. I prefer watching it with Japanese audio.

I liked 12K for being a saga of its own, it does not just focus on a single character but also develops the world. A pity about the author went back to writing horror stories before ending 12K properly.

I've decided that I'll try and wait for the dub to come out. If I didn't already watch Clannad with English audio, I'd try it subbed.

Now comes the part where I have to decide on another anime to watch. Does anyone have any they can suggest? :D

I don't really care, too much. I do enjoy anime's that build strong relations with the characters, though. Which is mainly why I enjoyed the Dragonball franchise. :P

I'm sort of debating watching any of these:
Basilisk
Mushi-shi
Fruits Basket
Soul Eater
Elfen-Lied

If you or anyone could give your opinion without spoilers on those, or suggest a different anime, it would be appreciated. ^.^

On another note, I've begun to think that it's easier to transition from series to series by watching a movie or two in between to get the previous series' world/characters out of your head. I should have watched it sooner, but I just watched 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time' and i really liked it. It was just an average movie for the longest time, but that was expected from it being about 1hr and 40m.

You should really watch Soul Eater. It is one of my favorites. It has great fighting scenes, colorful characters, and an awesome story. I highly recommend it.

Also, Elfen Lied is good if you don't mind mature themes and lots of gore.

I'm sort of debating watching any of these:
Mushi-shi

Mushi-Shi is incredible and you can watch the first four episodes on http://www4.funimation.com/video/?page=show&b=59. It's just a beautiful series, everyone should watch it at least once.

A friend of mine said it was good but I wasn't sure. Any description you can give of it without major spoilers?

I'm also thinking of watching Elfen Lied before any others just because it's short. However, it's just different with the amount of gore and nudity in it. I don't mind it, really, just want to make sure that's not all that is to it.

It's been in my Netflix Instant Queue for some time, just haven't gotten to it. Would you recommend it above Soul Eater/Elfen Lied?

Sorry, I haven't seen either of those. The only other one on your list I've seen is Basilisk, which is good but I prefer Mushi-Shi over it.

Basilisk holds little plot to it, be expect to see fight scenes and death for each episode.
Elfen-Lied has nothing but nudity and violence, I forgot what it was that deterred me from liking it, likely the story and characters.

I'm clearly late in finding this out, but Satoshi Kon died in August. http://makikoitoh.com/journal/satoshi-kons-last-words :cold:

This is a terrible loss... rest in peace Satoshi :(

Every time that I think I have it decided about what anime I want to watch, I remember seeing another one from a long time ago. Is the Melancholy of Haruhi Sumizya good? Either way, I think I'm still going to watch Mushi-shi. Just wanted to know. ^.^

I'm pretty sure listing sites that allow you to stream anime for free is illegal and not accepted on BSGF. :P

Youtube lets you too. Is it really illegal?

Wow, didn't know that site was illegal. Anyone confirm for sure? I'll edit it out if it is.

I'm pretty sure any site that streams material that isn't officially related to that content is illegal. Besides Hulu. Oh well, you haven't got warned yet. :P

Some Youtube channels have the rights to upload certain shows (such as the Funimation channel). Others upload them without having those rights, which would be illegal. That's why in the OP there are links to legal sources (several of them are official youtube channels).

And about the Elfen Lied question; there is definitely more to it than the blood and stuff. It has a good story, nice characters, etc.

Fuuu- I get really specific-like when coming to start a new anime. Just can't make my mind up. Watched two eps of Mushi-shi, but I don't think I want to currently watch it. A friend of mind recommended Serial Experiments Lain, so I think I'll watch that and Elfen-Lied.

SO, I finished Elfen Lied and .. it wasn't too bad. I wasn't having to make myself watch each episode, but actually enjoyed watching it. It's definitely a little different in it's execution of things, I guess. Definitely much more than gore and nudity, different from my original expectations. It tends to be pretty ironic in some situations, also. Such as
Spoiler
when it sets the moment with beautiful music and a sad scene. Crying young girl .. then she gets her limbs ripped from her. Happens quite a few times. :P

Also, I heard the manga was exceptionally better than the anime because the anime was only around half of the manga. Can anyone confirm?

So finished Spice and Wolf II (happy and sad at the same time)

The left the story as a huge cliff hanger and doesn't seem like there's a season 3 in sight

So now I need to finish Fortune Arterial, Tears to Tiara, and Code Geass (it's a decent anime but I don't know just doesn't seem all that great to me, dunno what all the hype was about it).

Started to watch Witch Hunter Robin but am not entirely sure how I feel about the series

Also, they better do a season 2 for Legend of the Legendary Heroes. I will cry if they do not make a season 2.

Code Geass R1 ends in a cliffhanger, as well. At least there's a 2nd season, though. I'm planning on starting it later today. ^.^

Also, does anyone know if 'Eve no Jikan' (The movie) is good?

I've never personally seen the series or movie, but here is a link to recommendations by members of MAL that give reasons and characteristics each anime share: http://myanimelist.net/anime/467/Ghost_in_the_Shell:_Stand_Alone_Complex/userrecs

They need more live action movies of anime series. I loved Dragonball: Evolution and The Last Airbender, so I figured there would be at least a couple coming out this year. Haven't found any; what a shame. :(

No, they don't.

Though I guess if you're so interested, a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPTfpyKSCKo&feature=related came out in the US about a week ago, if you'd be into that kinda' thing, and another is in the works.

.. Nevermind.

Can't speak for The Last Airbender, but if you liked Dragonball: Evolution: Chances are that you don't really like Dragonball. The movie doesn't pass the feeling nor follow the plot of DB. -.- BUT if that's your interest, don't let me stop you. Though, as Xetirox said, check out the Gantz live-action movie and see if it catches your attention.
