Not really, I haven't found any good quality t-shirts yet. All I've seen have been like cheap rip-offs.

And I really need some more anime to watch. Any recommendations, anyone? I've seen Haruhi, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and so on. I guess I'd be most interested in sci-fi anime, but I'll take any recommendations. What about Spice and Wolf? Any good? I've heard praise about it.

I thought Spice and Wolf was awesome, and I don't really even like anime.

But i guess the fact that I don't like anime in general makes my recommendation useless to a fan,so meh. <_<

:P

It's a good series, but if you HATE even the slightest bit of economics, avoid it, as there is real economics and pages from mercantilism in the series (making it all the better to me)

The Place Promised in Our Early Days I think you would like, it is kinda like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I think you'd enjoy Baccano! too.

Speaking of Spice and Wolf, I need to finish reading the first volume of the light novel soon, but I've been too busy reading Skip Beat (on volume 11).

Volume 11 looks like it is going to be the last covered by the anime series, though the anime skipped like one or two volumes worth of material related to Maria and Moko/Hio. Maria got fleshed out much better in the manga, and I finally understand the final scene of Moko in the anime (as I now know who Hio is), though I understand why they did it

(Don't read if you have even the slightest inkling that one day you may watch or read Skip Beat)

Spoiler

They wanted to get to Ren's realization that he may be in love with Kyoko

and while Maria's and Moko's chapters may be very good for their character development in the long run, for the part of the story the anime was telling, it wasn't as important (though I now wish they did animate those scenes).

Edit: Just finished volume 12  Wow.... did that really happen?

Major spoiler
Spoiler

Ren decided to do improv acting with Kyoko to discover out how to act Katsuki. He completely lost control when acting, letting his feelings of Kyoko flow out. "Luckily" due to the fact they were acting, he was able to cover up what he was doing as acting his character and Kyoko didn't discover that he has feelings for her

It won't be until Thursday at the earliest that I can get volumes 13 and 14, Why did it have to be the last volume I have that there is finally a major event

Volume 15 of Skip Beat filled me with RAGE,

Spoiler

that guy did to Kyoko, harassing her in EVIIIIIL ways, wrecking her clothing, almost wrecking her career, and what not. On the bright side at least there is finally major romantic advances in volume 16

I also got a few mystery box figurine of Evangelion: got Mari (which is what I was hoping for), but haven't put her together yet.

And in other news: 32 days until I go to AX :woot: Friggen Nabeshin (Excel Saga director), Yuu Asakawa (Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh), Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop character designer), Yui Horie (many roles, such as Tohru from Fruits Basket, Makie from Negima, and Naru from Love Hina), MELL (does a bunch of songs, like Black Lagoons OP) and http://www.anime-expo.org/category/guests/ are gonna be there. I need to figure out what events I should attend this year

Edit:

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b195/DEFRON/Figurines/MariandMikuru.jpg

There is also this odd blue gum-looking thing that was in the box with Mari, it looks like gum but I am kinda afraid to eat it in case, you know, it turns out to be not-gum-toxic-stuff. Never seen one before in anything either, which makes it even stranger. Anyone seen one/know what it is?

I've been reading Negima! 26... SO MUCH GROPING. Hot spring + perverted loli = win

And Kaede made a Pactio with Negi. She got a cool cape that has a house inside. It's like Dr. Who's TARDIS.

Damn, this reminds me I need to catch up on Negima!. I left off on Volume 22, and volume 27 comes out next month! D : Skip Beat is too addicting, though, and svcking up all my manga monies :(

On a happier note I just finished up Gakuen Alice. Great show it is. It took a while to start up with the actual story, but there was plenty of character development in the slow beginning to make up for it, and once the main story had started it was excellent.

Guess that means it is time to start watching Strike Witches and see what all the fuss is about.

UGHH! It's going to rock! And then [[SPOILER ALERT]] we finally see a Naruto and Hinata relationship!

Speaking of which, I was day dreaming the other day and was wandering for some weird reason what their kid would look like if they had one (don't ask why, I just think about these things) And I mixed Hinata's hair with Naruto's blondness... well, that didn't seem right... so I tossed in some of the spiky parts of Naruto's hair... and was surprised to see how similar the picture looked to this guy.

http://www.freewebs.com/rnaruto/4%20hokage.jpg

I was like, "... Huh.." but then remembered the episode where we actually see Naruto's parents. Then I thought to myself...

"Why the hell would Ninja's time travel anyways.."

But yeah.. interesting observation...

I received two things in the mail today:

I can't find the one of Haruhi though, it seems they're all out.

And if anyone wants to see my 2006 Haruhi DVDs from Japan - lemme know. Rohugh gave me the thumbs up so it should be okay. :)

Would anyone care to point me towards the best Patlabor collection/box set? Particularly the original TV series, but one including the P-Series would be fine too.

No singular collection or box set exists

Note that Central Park Media filed chapter 7 bankruptcy last year. A box set of these three will NOT come out, unless by some miracle someone picks up the license.

Ok so two of my friends recommended me an anime to series to watch. I was interested as I have been looking into getting anime but never really bothered much. Any ways they suggested Death Note, and I am loving it! I've only watched 5 episodes, but loving all the way through. Any other people out there watched it/heard of it? I highly recommend it.

After I'm finished with Death Note I'll be looking for more anime so recommendations would be nice ^_^

While I find a lot of people don't like it, I really enjoyed Blood+. Sure, some of the characters were annoying (Especially a certain stalking blond pretty boy), but I thought it was very good overall and didn't drag like the second half of Death Note did. I'd also recommend Angelic Layer because I'm a total nutcase about how much I love that one (Favorite of all time). It's the best CLAMP has ever done, IMO.

Death Note was really great. Code Geass and Code Geass R2 might be something you'd like if you like Death Note, I know I did. Then there's always Cowboy Bebop which is also great.
