Is Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity worth it (It comes with the two expansion packs)? Currently it is sitting at about £8 above the normal game.

I'll get around to buying it when it drops a couple more £ (or I get another job) then :)

Yes, or even 20 times over. I just love the game. I haven't been playing it all that much but that'll change after Friday.

Whats just cause 2 like ? It looks fun, but seems the world is too big, and empty and looks like it will be repetative because of it, its £29.99 atm, should I wait until its £15- 20 ?

if I can only pick one, which should it be? Temple of Elemental Evil or Anachronox? I already have many cRPGs to play (Baldur's Gate saga, icewind dale saga, Planescape torment). Take note that I did not enjoy Arcanum, Troika's other cRPG. As for Anachronox, some quick research indicates that it might not be compatible with Windows XP 64-bit. Anyone have any ideas about this?

Wait until the price goes down, I say. It has a gigantic world (somewhere around 650 square kilometers), but you're right, it is empty. You'll get bored quickly, but I think it would be worth it if the price goes down a bit.

I don't know if this is the appropriate place, but I need opinions from the people here! I have a choice between getting an XBox 360, a PS3, or a gaming laptop. I mean, xbox has a lot more games than PS3 and PC, but PS3 has exclusive titles like Little Big Planet. Then again... PC has games which support mods, but doesn't have a lot of games I want (I.E. FFXIII). GRARGH!!! Which do you guys think I should choose?

It's a lot like the first Crackdown, except it's a little more buggy. It's not worth $60, that's for sure.

Okay, I know that everyone and their dog thinks that Two Worlds is a horrible game, but would it be worth a $3.49 purchase from GameStop?

So what about Trine?

Fantastic game, a lot of fun. It's less about fighting and more about puzzle-solving. Very fun with a game controller (I have the PC retail version). I haven't played the multiplayer.

It's, what, less than $10 now? Definitely worth it. It's a pretty game, runs butter-smooth, and the gameplay is quite entertaining. Not too much replay value for the single-player campaign, unless you are a completist and like to find everything.

Yeah, I played the demo but it seems it would get repetitive after a while. Unless I'm mistaken?

Well, you get new abilities for the characters as you progress (you have to find them, of course) that you can put your skill points towards. This increases the gameplay variety. Also, the levels have different puzzles and challenges to solve in order to progress through the area. I never felt that it was repetitive. Each level has a really unique feel to it, even though your enemies will mostly be those skeletons (archers, regular fighters, armored fighters, and fire-breathers). There are some other inanimate obstacles that can harm your characters. The game keeps you moving along, there's little back-tracking. The physics is a lot of fun, I really enjoyed that aspect of it, and how it is used for solving puzzles, overcoming obstacles, navigating the environment, and for accessing XP potions and equipment. The game really rewards you for exploring and using your head to figure out how to solve some tricky logistics.

@Suffca: Gamestop sells it for $9.99, and GoGamer has had it on their 48-hour madness a few times for less than $5. Amazon also has it for cheap, too. I don't know if the Steam version is cheaper.

I think I've asked about this before, but how's Sacred? I know it is Hack-n-Slash, but is there plot to it? Is it pretty-looking? Is it fun? Which is better in the quest/plot/story department - Divine Divinity or Sacred?

Sacred is big; I know you play Titan Quest, and if you like to clear out every corner of the map in games like that, Sacred will take forever. The plot is comparable to other games of the genre, i.e., nonexistent. Graphically, I'd put it between Diablo 2 and Titan Quest. It's been a long time since I played, but as I recall it was pretty much the best Diablo-clone style game until Titan Quest. I'd quest full price, but it's probably worth what presumably tiny cost you can get it for now.

Well I havesome money and have a choice, splinter cell conviction or just cause 2, both look good for different reasons but I really dont know which is better, some say convictions capmaign is short and has more shooter than stealth, other say its great, and same for just cause 2, some say its great others say repetative. Also in JC2 what would I do after I have blown up all locations ?

I just got the new Prince of Persia game. I'm not very far in yet, but so far I'm not impressed.

When jumping you go up and down way too fast, it feels unnatural.

Instead of having a small group of enemies to fight with like in the 3 previous SoT games so far this game prefers large groups of enemies that are killed in 3 hits. I don't like how they removed the blocking system either, and have it rely entirely on dodging. Some cool moves are also gone, like attacking while running on a wall, whether vertically or horizontally. Everything just doesn't feel right.

Maybe it's because I just started, but the camera angles so far make it way too easy to see where you have to go.

So far the game looks more like a sequel to the Sands of Time movie, which had nothing in common with the Sands of Time game except for a Dagger of Time, a dead father, a plotting vizier and a love/hate relationship with the Maharaja's daughter. Did the prince even have a brother In the original Sands of Time trilogy? The prince's personality appears to be a mix of the Sands of Time movie and game.

Graphics look pretty good, performance is not so good though. I hope it gets better once I get power over the sands or whatever it is this game is about. Edit: Hurray I got the reverse time power of... The Djinn? I'd prefer sand! :swear:

Luckily I found the game cheap.

Also, skippable cutscenes at last! Ubisoft is finally starting to learn. :D
(Referring to Assassin's Creed 1/2, not the old PoP games)

What I do that eats up a lot of time in just cause 2 is play "Launch and Catch." Basically, get a fast sports car, get to one of the bridges leading into one of the three city districts, speed down the opposite end of traffic, and hit the emergency brake while turning sideways when you are extremely close to a motorcyclist/scooter driver. 85% of the time they'll get launched off their vehicle. This is when you try to "catch"(have them land on your car.) with your vehicle. Its sounds boring but is extremely fun.

So pretty much, once you've blown up everything you have to make up your own fun.
