Which is fun, if not a bit overpowered. :P

Kicking people off cliffs is more entertaining. :celebration:

Anyone ever play Legend: Hand of God? Got mediocre reviews, but I can't tell if it is all-round svcky, or only svcky when compared with a game I haven't played (like, oh, Diablo).

I think the problem is that I'm running out of fantasy RPGs, and I just want them to be good so much, that I'm biasing myself. :sadvaultboy: The downside of being finicky is not having lots of games to play. :P

So splinter cell conviction ? I hear its fun but very short, so should I wait for it to be about £15 or buy it.

PC or console? If it's PC, run away http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/99566-Australian-Gamers-Struggling-Under-Ubisoft-DRM Console... Someone who's played the game will have to chime in on whether it's worth the current price.

So how about M&B: Warband?

I've been in the mood for some giant battles.

Good game. Put all enemy ai max, battle sizer max, everything manual, and you have a VERY nice game. Even if you don't do that (except battle sizer), still excellent. It also has multiplayer. If you're looking for good graphics, then this is not your game.

One thing to take into account is that cavalry is better than infantry, as it should be.

Edit: My own question is if FFXIII is any good. I heard to story got pretty good for a game at some points (PST good).

Edit 2: The combat is very intuitive and you can press backspace to bring up a tactical map of the field.

I've heard it was a good stand alone game but doesn't live up to the FF franchise.

I appreciate the answers that you've "heard", but I'd like to actually hear from someone that has actually played FFXIII (and possibly PST). :P

Not trying to sound ungrateful, but yeah.

Is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prey_%28video_game%29 any good? I've seen some videos of it and it looks kind of interesting, but I'm on the fence about it.

I played it for about 3 hours and got quite bored. I'm willing to admit that the beginning may be a little slow but to me the whole thing felt like a chore. The story just didn't inspire me to keep playing...

The control scheme is... well, it takes some getting used to. I've played a bit of Gothic 1 and I plan on playing more of it. Not much in the character customization department (as far as looks are concerned), but I'm impressed with the NPCs and voice acting, as well as even the graphics. NPCs even have schedules! :o But, like I said, the controls were a bit frustrating for me. I think that's an issue with all the Gothic games, from what I've heard. There are patches... I think there are fan-patches too, I forget. Anyway, you can buy the Gothic Universe for under $10 on Amazon.

How is 3D Dot Game Heroes?

I know you can customize character, what else?

Nevermind, I bought it the other day. Awesome game, Zelda 1 to be exact. You can only customized character.

Just cause 2, demo was fun...ish, there was a nice landscape to explore, but most of it seemed the same, and I am guessing gameplay would be limited, because of the weapons availible. also unskipable cutscenes with bad VA make my ears bleed.

I've played some 20 hours of it now, it got fun when i figured out how the battle system works (at Capra Whitewood ). It is different than the rest of FF games, but i think it's an improvement.

It suffers from the same propblem as FFXII, too much combat parts between the story parts. Also a warning, it is completely linear (or atleast has been so far). You walk on corridors not unlike in FFX, but there are no towns in between them (save points act as shops). Basically you fight from one cutscene to another, following a linear path.

Still for me the storyline and battle system keep it fun, it has IMO a bit darker story than the previous games (or atleast more desperate from the characters POV), but there enough humour there too to keep it from being completely bleak.

And i love that new chocobo tune :D the rest of the music isn't half bad either, thoug not the best of the series. Atleast the battle music is much better than in FFX.

IMO, it is. It has some pretty nice gameplay mechanics, bit like Portal at times, and also size and gravity alteration to spice up the standard FPS gameplay. One sillything though, there's no punishment for dying, sometimes it's even better to die than to survive. Still, a nice game with some very nice visuals and not a half-bad story either.

How's Arkam Asylum (for the PC)? It looks pretty fun and the demo was alright (though a bit short), but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Is it a long game?

It's around 10-12 hours long if I remember correctly.

Is Demigod any good? I'm not good at strategy games at all (the most I can handle is the Minion system in Overlord). I've read that Demigod has two modes of play, one of which is more single-character management, and the other involves controlling lots of soldiers/units. So...uh... is there any point to the game? Any campaign/single-player story mode?

You're thrown into an arena as a Demigod of your choice and you kill other Demigods and the weakling enemy army that pours out of special portals. Each side has a base with attack towers and such. And there are flags all around that act as control points for special buildings like army portals, gold generators, and equipment shops. For killing other Demigods and the little army weaklings you get gold you can use to buy gear. You also level up to get more skills/make current skills stronger.

The campaign mode is just random arenas with different objectives like destroying certain buildings or killing a certain amount of enemy Demigods. The game does get boring pretty quickly but I'd say for $10 it's worth it. But I like to mindlessly own things.

Edit: Demigods are either Assassins or Generals. Generals are the ones that have direct command over their own special minions. Never played a General though.
