Unofficial "Is [insert game here] any good?"

I played Tomb Raider: Legend and really enjoyed the character interactions of Lara and her tech crew. I'm playing TR: Anniversary, and find I miss the character banter; the game feels so quiet and boring. I'll still play through it, of course, but I was wondering if any of the other TR games offered a similar experience to Legend. How was Angel of Darkness? Any of the older PS1 games?

I don't know. It has been a while since I played Angel of Darkness. Back when I first played it I thought it was pretty cool, but when I tried to replay it later I didn't like it all that much. The controls don't work very well and the story is a bit weird. You're accused of murdering someone, and you go out to prove your innocence. While doing that, you break into all sorts of places and kill lots of people. :P

And quite a bit of the game is city based rather than the usual tomb locations.

Now I want to play Anniversary again, I never finished it. :P

I think the questions is 'has anyone not played AC2?'

Yes. The people who play on PC. :violin:

Has anyone tried Assassin's Creed 2. I have it. But I'm beating the first one before I delve into it. My girlfriend's bro beat it in literally 2 or 3 days. I wanna try it, but not until I beat the first one. Is there anything I should expect or unexpect?!? 0.o

Expect a solid plot with a downright wacky ending. Your gf's bro was right though. Assassin's Creed 2 can be completed quite quickly, especially if you're still in good shape from the first game. I prefered the acrobatics of the first in all fairness, but this game was a definite improvement.

I beat it so fast, it left me feeling like I should be doing something more with the game so I made the http://forums.xbox.com/1/30115450/ShowPost.aspx#30115450 for the game.

I believe theres a DLC or two out for the game, so it might make the empty feeling for content in your stomach more filling.

Should I get BioShock or Just Cause 2?

Note: I'm getting Crackdown 2 also, so if I get bioshock I'll still have a sandbox game.

BS is an awesome game, get it.

I haven't played Just Cause,though..whatever though,BS is too good to pass up-it's more about the story then the game play, though.

Just Cause 2 does look really fun and cool, but I can see it getting repetitive fast.

Oh, that plot doesn't sound too fun. :( Have you played any of the other Tomb Raider games? I know the graphics will be so... blech... but if it has fun dialog and good controls, I can manage.

From what I remember when I wanted to play through it again last year or so, the voice acting isn't very good and the controls are a bit clunky.

1000...but when I finished the campaign the first time, I became bored, but that's just me. I usually replay as a different class, and I started to, but didn't make it far.

There's a section specifically for games under $10 on Steam, take a look at what they have.

Now some person came to the store where I play Magic: The Gathering and dropped off some video games and let the store give them away. I picked up the following three Games:

Icewind Dale II
Rise of Nations
Guild Wars

I'm wondering if these games are any good

The first two are pure win and I've never had any experience with Guild Wars.

Guild Wars was the best free to play MMO ever made imo.

However, the pvp community has died(man I miss GvG/HA..:s),and the game has gone to mainly farming in PvE.

It's worth a play for sure, but sadly it isn't what it used to be.

Be sure to pick up the expansion and the other 2 games if you didn't get the full edition or whatever they call it-they add soooooooo much to the game,it's worth the extra cash.

Guild Wars...

This one might be a problem if it's a used game.
The activation key is account based one-time use only.
