Yes, it looks fantastic, and yes it's because your XBOX One. If you try it on XBOX 360 or PS3 you will see and feel the difference. !!!
No offence to XBOX 360 and PS3 users...

If you do all the side-quests, and everything else the game has to offer, it lasts between 150-200 hours. !!!
It still looks quite good on xbox 360, Maybe because I have 19/20 inch standard TV. I just wish I could read the text since most of the text is smaller than fine print. Yes the next gen consoles will blow it out of the water and they should since they have much better hardware.
I mean mostly graphics and keeping the frame-rate steady at 30 fps most of the time. However, there shouldn't be game-play compromises.
So, in terms of the aesthetic they should be the same across all platforms.
And as Neil Thompson, director of art and animation at Bioware said:
When you’re trying to take the next gen experience and put it on a last gen console without compromise, then by necessity you’re pushing those consoles really hard.
Hey guys, wife just asked me what I want for Christmas so I'm putting together a list. I'm wanting Inquisition but not sure what platform to get it on. Preferably I would like to get it on PC but I've heard PC had some "issues" like a lack of of control that we had with Origins (though I have come across a hack to semi fix that but would rather an official support) and some performance issues. Is there any word of these issues being recognized and possibly patched for PC? Is it worth getting on PC or would I be better off getting it on the 360 at the cost of losing graphic detail?
Soo I guess I should ask, what exactly do you mean by lack of control?
If you already have a 360 and a good PC, why not pick up a controller for the PC? I haven't heard of any major issues (Gamebreaking ones.) Just that the tactical cam can be hard to work with with Keyboard and Mouse. I use a controller for my PC, and I absolutely love the tactical cam.
Those bugs have been obviously fixed. So good luck on your journey.

If you have an adequate PC, just buy the PC version. Otherwise rent it first for the XBOX 360 !!!
The opinions about the XBOX 360 version is a mixed bag. !!! (it lags at times, sometimes it crashes, graphics are not better than DA2, large areas have muddy textures, sparse backgrounds and blurry supporting character faces.)
it comes in a 2 disk version (install and play disk)
My party has the occasion banter, or is that supposed to be more frequent?

Read the last paragraph for a possible workaround !!!
Well they banter for me, I'm just not sure how often that should be. Honestly I've found very few bugs in this game that can't be fixed with a quick reload. Usually things like locking characters. Sometimes when interacting with NPCs as other party members locks the character in place keeping me from switching to another party member. As I said a quick reload fixes things like that.
I noticed everytime I do the questline Into the Abyss, whenever I get to the Western Approach and meet up with Hawke and Stroud, couple times the cutscene will "freeze", in which case the characters are still in motion, but the dialogue will stop though. Then It happened again after you deal with the few Warden Mages.
I don't know if that bug is unique to me or not. Just something to note.
I have no problems running the game on my xbox 360, I just have not gone far in the game since I only have a 19/20 inch screen tv and only run it at av cable so non hd mode. The issue I have is I have problems reading text. Likely the performance would go down if using HD settings. I did install both disks
I bought an XB1 from Microsft's website and it was backordered (whatever that means) and I got DA:I free (along with the Assassin Creed games) so I decided to play Dragon Age 2 because I never played it after I heard all of the negatives surrounding it at release and to get me into the mood for DA:I. I'm playing it on PC because I no longer have an Xbox 360. I have to say the gameplay isn't as terrible as I had thought it was going to be, but the graphics are quite terrible. I even downloaded the High Texture pack they released and it is choppy as hell. Sometimes a character will completely disappear other than their head and their armor. The first time I met Anders he was a talking head! A quick reload resolves it but it's quite ridiculous.
I'm going to rush through the game now because according to the tracking info it is no longer backordered and should arrive Wednesday (coincidentally my next day off).
Congratulations on your new console! That is exciting, especially when you have a new game to play, too. Good to hear that you're absolutely loving Inquisition.
I have the Xbox one controller to use with my PC games and I absolutely love it.
Oh sorry, if I gave the impression that I am playing Inquisition. I don't have the game but I might pick it up down the road, when it gets patched. I'm glad you're having fun with it though.
And yes, I wouldn't trade my new One controller for the old 360 version. It's the best thing since sliced bread.
