Christ this entire playthrough is probably from someone who normally goes to rpgcodex. I wouldn't be surprised.

Spoiler
That's the "Custom Hawke" bug - For some reason, customizing Hawke's apperance instead of using her default appearance will change your Inquisitor's voice to the other option.
Apparently it's caused if you do not use the "default" voice for your race (UK for Humans and Elves, US for Dwarves and Qunari).

I've been trying out different classes through the different characters and i find myself enjoying mage the most, even though my character is a sword and board guy. What's everyone else's favourite?

Ah, okay. I actually prefer my characters voice now, so the bug worked in my favor. xD

Two-handed warrior. I swear the game has taken a complete 180 for me thanks to it. Rogue's just don't suit me at all.

I just beat the Abyssal High Dragon and man, that [censored] was tough. She ended up trolling me with her armoring up when I had her down to very, very little life. Adraste's holy buns those fights get me pumped!

What are the best abilities to get the armor bars down? - I haven't delved deeply into what abilities each team member has and I do get frustrated on occasion when something armors up and I am sort of flailing around with different party members abilities. Yeah, yeah, I could read up, but... I never do. Heh.

I'm a mage - storm emphasis, I usually have Cassandra in my party, the other two slots I routinely swap in and out for hearing banter or trying out different group combos. So fare I like the Me, Cassandra, Blackwall and Varric group, although Sera instead of Varrick is fine and Iron Bull in place of Blackwall is fine too. I may roll out with an all mage party for a while to... because I can.

Spoiler
I sided with the mages, and did the whole Redcliff sequence. That was actually really good. Poor Leliana! I got me a bit of my boy, Alistair at the end, looking 10 years older, but still love him. I hope that is not the entirety of his cameo. That would be a bit of a bummer.

I'll check for you later because I swear I saw a few abilities that did this in particular. Otherwise, I think detonating combos works (having them sundered, etc.). It seems to, at least. I'm assuming you're talking about guard and not magical barriers (which dispel will quickly take care of).

I'm fairly certain Assassin specialization abilities (which Cole has access to) has some of them. But I will check next time I play.

I can't remember what the skill trees are called. But the far right side is all about defense and tanking. I usually have Iron Bull take that side. He's exceptional at that role. That side is almost all buffs. And Charging Bull is just fun.

I usually level up characters in two skill trees. A offensive set and a control set. I'll need to look things up when I get home. But I try not to have too many overlapping abilities in a party at the same time. My combat formation involves two warriors, a tank and a controller. Followed by a rogue and a mage.

Spent about an hour trying to face shape a Qunari female into Angelina's Maleficient - funny how you think you've got it in the creation screen but when you get in game you go - no that's not quite right :) Anyway I'm sure it can be done as the horns and cheekbones match Maleficient really well.

This game feels big - one of the best things I've seen was a bottle up on a rock so I found a way up on the rock and there was a chair and a table and a sad corpse - a whole story in one little set up - this reminded me so strongly of Morrowind for some reason - anyway I have to keep reminding myself the environment is very climbable and I need to explore

Got turned into nug roast by my first dragon - love how you can break into new areas and get creampuffed straight away

As for favourite class - have a 2-handed warrior who insanely charges in but generally survives, have tried the mage and love the usual fire at will and from far way style - but I tend to control Varric in the wilderness as apart from loving the way he runs he always gets the first shot in

Speaking of Varric his chest hair should have tessellation effects to billow in the wind - Isobela loved it and it is working its magic on Cassandra

You can make a female Qunari?! I've been wondering what they look like, and it never occurred to me to use the character creator.

I'm also curious how Iron Bull reacts to a female Qunari PC. Having him and Vivienne in the party at the same time can be amusing.

The same as he does anyone else.

Spoiler
At one point, you can choose to talk about what it's like to be Qunari. He denounces that the Inquisitor is, in fact, Qunari; the Herald is Tal-Vashoth.

He does not do it rudely, though. The Iron Bull is actually quite easy going.

Ah, maybe my last comment came off weird. I was referring to how he's oddly deferential to Vivienne, "Yes, maam. No, maam." So I was wondering if serving under a Qunari, especially female, would get interesting, unique interaction.

The big issue... (ahem)... is that you tower over everyone and talking to Varric gives me a virtual crick in my neck.

I'm finding it hard to role-play as Tal-Vashoth - Sten didn't really say much in Origins, the Qun I spoke with in Kirkwall were polite (when not enraged) but like Sten didn't offer too much to say the Saarebas glared and grunted though I think their lips were sealed so to speak. Whereas the dialog tree in Inquisition can make your character seem inquisitive which to me feels odd for a Qunari.

That's the point of being Tal-Vashoth. Your character knows little to nothing of the Qun, and was raised among humans, elves and dwarves.

Ok, so I beat the game now after 40 hours of playtime. Killed the ever cliche:

Spoiler
Corypheus

The final boss fight was pretty fun. I guess I'll wait for the patch to come, but right now I have no desire to go back to this game. I can't stand the tactical camera with a m/k and the behavior menu that's supposed to replace the tactics menu we had in Origins is down right terrible. So yeah, I think I did the right thing just hackin' and slashin' my way through the story.

Story was ok - couple of moments I thought were cool but that's it. Back to Wasteland 2.

Just saw the sales numbers. Yikes, did it underperform. Out of the big games that released on the 18th, it came in third behind GTA V and Far Cry 4. Total sales didn't even come close to just the PS4 version of GTA. I'm see what future patches and DLC bring to the table and I'm sure I'll get the complete edition eventually.

That is my problem with picking a Qunari. It's basically making a Human with horns..nothing very "Qun" about it.

So I beat my third High Dragon....Jeez that thing was..annoying. It kept using Static cage and my tanks hand trouble getting in there because of it. Still, At level 14 with 80+ Power points, I think I'm doing a good job staying over powered. Haven't even continued the story after getting Skyhold.

Well that's the thing with the Tal Vashoth -- I don't roleplay but as Tal Vashoth, you aren't Qunari. The Qunari are both a race and an idea, an idea that the Tal Vashoth know nothing about. The Qunari you speak with in DAII were polite yes but they were also very direct too, just like Sten. Iron Bull doesn't fit the same bill compared to Qunari we've met in past games, though.

So I don't see how you two are having trouble playing as a Tal Vashtoh. You aren't Qunari. You look like one but you aren't and that's why your character is so clueless about the Qunari when you talk to Iron Bull. That's the point.

So I'm really liking romancing Cassandra. It's just so fun to see her embarrassed and flustered. Also she's totally my type.

Surely you've been here long enough to realise this question would be better suited for the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1510734-unofficial-dragon-age-community-thread-3/.

Besides, if you want a quick, proper answer, give us the actual specifications of your PC in your post.
