The patch is available on the official site. Here's the release notes:

I'm going to reinstall everything later today. Can we still use UFP?

So I noticed this in the readme.

Yea....I read the readmes :P

Michael Masters is missing voice for 2 dialogue lines, C481D ("Still want to live in the past, huh? Well, forget it. Those days are long gone.")
and C7AED ("Yuck, the thought of walking around naked's making me sick."),
if you can do a good immitation of the ghoul voice and record these lines lets me know and I'll include it in the UF3P.

OK Quarn, I can do these lines. LMK when you want them

You can use it on existing games perfectly fine.

Yes, but make sure you disable the VATS accuracy perk fix if you've got FOSE or you'll get too much accuracy :D

I have noted that it is done by typing "Set UF3PVATSFixOff to 1" into the console. If I do that and save my game does that command then have to be done each time the game is then restarted...?

Oh, Quarn: Speaking of that, you may want to change the Global variable that acts as that function's switch to not be Constant (controlled by a checkbox) so that the value in there will persist in savegames. As it is, the "Constant" flag on the GLOB's form prevents it from saving and the number reverts to the value in the plugin after you quit the game.

Come next version that fix will be removed anyway :)

Quarn: Have you looked into the "rubber band" effect dead NPCs sometimes have?

Yeah nothing can be done, it is some sort of bug with havok... happens in Oblivion and I think pretty much every other game that uses havok technology.

hannibal 000239dd now holds a rake with his rifle when he is ready to shoot.

Can't do anything about that, core bug :(

Do the non-persistent items bugs in the new official patch v1.5 screw around with any of the fixes that the UF3P plugin makes? If I have to cut back on plugins until they fix 1.5, I'd at least like to be able to keep the UF3P.

Col. Ivan Noble is correct, UF3P edits alot of cell objects (and even adds a Brahmin for a fix which will causing the "saving crash") and they are all affected by the v1.5 bugs.

Anyway some good news! Elminster has added automatic ONAM generation to FO3Edit... In other words UF3P will be a fully functional ESM come next version unlike the original v1.1.0 :D

Well no ETA on the next "big" one but I'll most likely have to release a little update for Broken Steel.

He already said itd be an esm. And the cow isn't truly broke (it's 1,5 that's broke). But having it in an esm shouldn't break the game.

Just wanted to give an update. I installed both the unofficial patch and the fake patch (thanks to all for making these! :) ), and then tried to play again. If I recall correctly, I was still getting a crash when I talked to Nova at the bar in Megaton. Then I had an idea. What If I talked to Gob first, and didn't talk to Nova? Maybe that would help. Well, guess what, it did! I talked to Gob, then right to Moriarity and the game did not freeze up, as it always did before. :)

I talked to nova *after* I talked to Gob and Moriarity and the game still didn't crash. So what I thought might have been a sound-related bug apparently was related to a bug in the quest to find information on my father. If you talk to people in the wrong order (talking to that girl at the Lantern in Megaton could also cause crashes) in Megaton it can trigger crashes that will make it impossible to play. I hadn't been able to play the game since I got it for Christmas, but thanks to the fan-made patches and some clever thinking on my part, I'm now able to play with no problem! :) The game still does crash once in awhile, especially if you do a lot of reloading of save games, but I can often play for 1 or 2 hours+ straight without the game crashing, which is plenty good enough to be able to play the game. I've made a lot of progress in the game so far and it's a lot of fun. :)

It's pretty ridiculous that fans have to even make patches like this, the game's been out for at least 6 months now, and serious bugs (like the VATS bug) like this should have already been fixed by now by Bethesda. Bethesda makes good RPG's, but they really need to get serious about testing their games more before they release them, and also about fixing bugs that are discovered after release *quickly*. A big thanks for the fan patches that have made it possible for me to play Fallout 3! :)

Crypton did change the Bug Tracker's host but that was over week ago, everything should be fine now... just email me any reports if you want.

How can I tell whether the game is running with the UFO3 patch installed? I checked it in the 'Data Files' menu along with all my DLCs, but I have encountered a cluster of floating rocks somewhere near Littlelamplight which begged me to ask the said question.
