Well, it's official. Halo 4 is underway. I'm pretty glad. Although, I've heard rumors that this is a reboot of the series. It looks to me like Chief was breaking out of his cryo-stasis chamber like in the first one.
Although the fact that it says Halo 4 makes me believe this the next game in the series.

As with the other Halos, I won't buy it, but I'll play the hell out of multiplayer when my friend does.

Looks interesting, it looks like the ark has been rebuilt, maybe someone is activiating it again and that would be very bad for organic life.

I've never been too into Halo, but strangely enough it's the only series that I have every single game of. (Even Halo: Wars. I won it, didn't buy it, I swear.)

This will most probably end up in my library too somehow!

I know that they are milking the franchise (It was supposed to be a trilogy), but I'm not gonna lie, I love it. The original Halo is what brought me into gaming, and I love everything about the series. I can spend hours on the Halo wiki reading about the lore, it's amazing. Every part of me WANTS to hate it (Cliche space marine character, cliche story, milked franchise) but I just can't stop loving it

I'm excited more for this than the CE remake, because a return to the roots of Halo is always good. Especially since its been five years (with the release of 4) since we've heard from Chief.

When talking about the Halo 4 rumor before the conference, GameTrailers said something about how they heard it would be getting rid of purple. If it still has the Covenant, and the rumor's true, I'm not sure how I feel about them changing their signature color. Purple was kind of their thing.

I noticed Master Chief was significantly less green than usual, though that may have just been the lighting

It seems to have a more "realistic" (if that's even possible regarding Halo) look to it. But that's just from what was obviously a cinematic.
Who knows, though. I think they did a great job with the trailer, it peaked my interest, being a very die hard Halo fan, I have every Halo game except Halo Wars because I'm not an RTS fan by any means. Just not my thing.
But I'll definitely keep an eye out for this.
I'm also extremely happy that they're remaking Halo 1, because Halo 1 was the best game in the series IMO, an updated Halo 1 would be just..lol. Completely baller.

I love the Halo series, such great fun with a friend in co-op campaigns, and the story is pretty damn good.
