Did anyone make a new thread? I don't see one, so here it is. And the reason why I was looking for it is inXile's new Kickstarter campaign launched today: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/the-bards-tale-iv Forget the 2004 aRPG, this is a return to the original party-based dungeon crawler. Not only that, but everyone who backs the game during the first 24 hours will receive a free copy of Wasteland 2, The Witcher or The Witcher 2! The $55 tier also comes with a copy of Torment: Tides of Numenera, so I think it's a great 3-in-1 deal if you haven't played/backed these games.

Definitely backed that from Day 1. Great to see the Mercenary Campaign and Home Base stretch goals were achieved.

[Dragon's Lair: The Movie]

It looks like they are going to give it a shot, and see if the fans will provide the means (the money) to finally make it.

I'm hoping the Friday the 13th game gets funded: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/613356213/friday-the-13th-the-game

1 vs 7 multiplayer.

Looks pretty awesome, and some of the people that worked on the movies are even involved.

Please help fund and back my new project. I need all the help I can get and I hope to make this amazing for everyone. Please Share Around the more backers the better I can make and release this amazing series. :)
Head to Kickstarter - /projects/1225594635/afterglow-a-post-apocalyptic-web-series
Afterglow is a Post-Apocolyptic Drama/Comedy set in the not too distant future. It follows the story of our three protagonists; Ophelia, Woodstock and Vandal as they explore the vast wasteland that is now Earth. The Afterglow universe is similar to Fallout, however there have been changes to make the setting more realistic and individual from other similar projects on the market. These include things such as Lead being the main source of trade rather than bottle caps however the dangers and survival aspect of Fallout remains, just with more humour. Think The Book of Eli + Fallout + Supernatural.

You can just https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1225594635/afterglow-a-post-apocalyptic-web-series/description to it, you know :)

Not sure about your project, though. It's good that you've got a lot of writing done, but so far, you have very little, if anything, to show. You have no contacts with actors, no team (and you'll need one, you can't do everything by yourself if you want to make a web series of some quality), no concept art, no concrete plans. You'll need all that to convince people to back your project. I can tell you're enthusiastic about it, which is good, but I'm worried people won't back a project purely on the basis of an idea, no matter how good it is or how much heart the dev put into it. It's a massive leap of faith you're asking, and with the Anything Goes-age of Kickstarter being pretty much over, I think you'll have a hard time finding backers unless you bring more concrete stuff to the table.

Remember, you know and love your work, but the world doesn't, and they'll need some kind of visible encouragement to convince them their money will be put to use for a good project. You could get away with just a rough idea if you were Brian Fargo or Jordan Weisman or Swen Vincke, but these are all veterans with a sterling reputation. As an unknown, you have to grab potential backers by the small intestine right away or they'll lose interest. So yeah, I'd advise getting some concrete stuff out there - actor commitments, concept art, a rough team layout, things like that. If you have those to show, your project will gather interest.
