We play survival mode. The next iteration of the server will have mobs disabled though, until damage is properly implemented in multiplayer.

On my peaceful mode games I usually hack in a bunch of gunpowder in a vault, and trade 10 gunpowder for 1 golden block (which is made from 9 gold ingots). If you have no monsters, but still want TNT, you could try that idea.

TNT messes up the server anyway, so that's not so much of an issue.

Do we have planned some RPG elements to the server?
I really don't know much else to enchance the game experience any further.

We could use a useless item as currency. Like redstone. :D

Cut down the trees in my garden and I'll give you 3 redstones.

Shame that (cooked) food is useless in multiplayer at the moment since we're all immortal.

Yeah, I guess you could say we're RPGing it up a little. Basically, (and I'm making this story up as I go along now), all the land on the map is owned by the King, who is away on holiday indefinitely. There are two approaches you can take - citizen of the empire (which we're designing it to be played as), or outlaw (which is basically the go off and build your own thing approach). There will be a sort of monetary system, but no single currency.

And we have to play by certain rules. Which I'm more than happy to do.
How does king have holidays? Who's ruling the kingdom?

I had something similar in my mind, I didn't believe that others would want to go on with it.

Outlaws are outlaws. We can't task them to do anything. If they wish to infiltrate the castle they can try, but the agents of the Empire will seek revenge.

Since we're all immortal most revenge/attacking related stuff would basically be griefing... :P

Do we have combat system?
Like if you take too many hits you yield? (example by dropping your weapon into the ground or something.)

I wouldn't say no to working that in. As long as we all play honest it should work.

I don't think you can even attack each other, how would you check hits?

Can't we?

Then only way to "harm" others would be burning, which would look silly.

i was thinking more of outlaws attack an the dead of night thing, like they take the roles that the npc's are too simple to take themselves

Alright, we're having a slight issue... I sent the save back to Wampbit after I'd fiddled around, but when we put it on the server it reset the spawn point... We've spent about the last hour wandering around totally lost :P

Just for an update, we've now spent the best part of two hours going everywhere EXCEPT where we want to go. We've generated most the bloody map. Unfortunately what is North according to our server software is not North according to cartographer.

I think you can. I don't have a card that let's me do that though so I have to wait for the slow transfer from my account to paypal.
