That's the second bank security fail. I think I'll hold on to my own items. :P

And quadrupling the prices is going to do the city no good, nobody will bother to buy anything.

Ah yes, sources. Luckily, everybody has a price.
I'd share the information with you, but my accomplices wouldn't be pleased.

I'll give you 100 redstone for the location of that island, muthsera.

That was blatant theft of Empire property. It's gone too far, and the punishment will be severe.

This is going somewhat beyond RP and into breach of etiquette rules. Some things we've done for the sake of running a good RP. Think about it - a guy with a swag bag wont be running off with a large solid gold column. It's one thing to steal from peoples' homes and smash in their windows. Another entirely to take apart buildings.

Or in other words, game is on hold until we sort this out.

100 useless stones, yay. :D

Agreed.

Agreed.

I've had cold lunch, a cup of cold tea, and I missed half the goals in the football (admittedly not because of MC at all, but it's annoying!) trying to keep at least some semblance of law and order today. I don't want my dinner to go cold too :(

Your server is badly broken. If I dig, the qaures reappear and trap me, and respawn won't work so I can't escape.

The update's out

Seecret Saturday 1! But I failed Biomes AGAIN!

The update is out, and I guess the biggest feature is Sneaking. Press (and hold, for now) shift to move slower. You won’t make sounds, and you won’t crush plants, and you won’t fall off ledges.

The big feature was supposed to be biomes. Again. And again I had to abort and rollback the code to get a release out. Again.
I must stop trying to do it in a single sitting. Now I’ve spent almost two full days on it! I won’t work on it again until I can dedicate an entire week towards it.
The main problem is that the transition between different biomes looks horrible. It’s either a chaotic wasteland of random blocks, or a sharp border of sudden ice. Actually generating the biomes themselves is interesting, and I can reuse a lot of the ideas from indev with the different level types. The floating island biome is kind of slow to generate, because it adds a second pass to fix waterfalls along all the edges.

The hell biome will be used for an alternate fast travel dimension. Have you read Wheel of Time? That.

There are a couple of other new things hidden in this release, but nothing game changing.

Couldn't connect to the server, restarted, and now can't connect to minecraft.net to login. Anyone else having issues?

Okay, lemme get this straight. This is a waterfall, with an intersecting magma fall PLUS a little sanctuary behind the waterfall?

If only. No, it's a straight waterfall between two cliffs, with a courtyard and pyramid temple/tomb behind it. Behind those is the magmafall.

I don't suppose there's a manual download of the update hosted elsewhere?

It's working again.

Apparently with this sneak feature you can prevent yourself from accidentally falling off a ledge. This should make creating something that involves putting blocks next to each other in the sky horizontally while standing on them a lot easier.

0.01 KB/s, weeeee.

Edit: And down again.

I was finally able to download the update.

I'm also getting this with the new update. Switching to full screen mode with F11 fixes it but any time I'm in windowed mode the whole screen is grey.

I just had it working and now it's updating again. Hopefullt it's to solve the greyness issue.

ALSO!

Minecraft.net

This is a temporary page.
Minecraft got way too popular for this humble server. I've had to disable everything fancy to even get it to run.

...

Until this all gets sorted out, I'm officially calling a "free-to-play weekend", or however long this will take to fix. You will need to have a paid account to play it later on when this gets fixed though.

So for those who haven't bought Minecraft yet, here's your chance to play the full version for free, at least for the weekend! :)

Im gonna probably get the full version tomorrow anyway but yay still. As for multiplayer on our server what should I know? I assume you guys dont want me buliding my fortress of fortyness anywhere.
