Why are you burning down homes/buildings? this is precisely why fire was banned in the first place. Do I have to break out the banhammer on this one?

Until idiots like him are banned, I won't play on the server anymore. I don't want to build anything since there is a huge chance it will get destroyed by griefers. Ban the kid.

He wasnt griefing.

Hio himself has not used that treehouse in a long while now. In the past, I have joked around with him about me burning it down (he was my neighbour when he built it). When he began his work on Moria (which to be honest is a much better home), I once again joked and he told me that he would not care if I did, as he does not use it anymore.

This was not the destruction of Torhemn, or even a house that is acively used by someone. This was a place that hadnt been used in a long while and wasnt likely to be used again.

Was he fully aware of all that before he burned it? It seems like a lucky coincidence to me, since he's a new resident (I assume, he's not on the official list yet).... though I wasn't there so I may be wrong.

Not new whatsoever. Blackhand4 (a.k.a Vidicus (I think thats how you spell it)) has been playing for a fair while.

You can punch their fireballs back at them which is brilliant fun until you miss one and get exploded into some lava.

A rather large part of my tower has disappeared. I have lost:
-all the glass around my greenhouse (a significant amount)
-various bits of glass around my tower in random spots
-a whole section of tower and everything it contained
-stone from various other places
-a large number of torches
-and I am still looking to find what has been lost :banghead:

The large section of tower that has been destroyed was made of a large amount of cobblestone and glass, and also contained the (hidden) chests containing my possessions. This included a full set of gold armor, numerous blocks of gold and diamond, a stack of mossy cobblestone, large amounts of ordinary cobblestone, red dust, large amounts of TNT, a large number of diamond tools, stacks of glass and sand, about 30 obsidian,a few plant items and a lot of railtracks that took me a very long time to make in preparation for working minecarts. The amount of stuff that I have lost is huge, as is the value. Most of the stuff in there was about to be used for various projects to extend my tower and grow into the surrounding area. :violin:

To whoever thought it would be cute to do this (and I have a suspicion who it was): you are not clever, not funny, and not witty. :swear:

If this was meant to be some sort of stupid revenge for the destruction of Hio's treehouse, this is a childish action. If this is indeed who I believe it is, it is a continuation of griefing behaviour that has gone on for some time. Hopefully the admins will find who you are or at least help me replace my items. :(

Yeah, I'm getting sick of this. I'm ok if someone steals small portion of my stuff and leaves message. But I hate when someone takes everything.

This person obviously knew that part of my tower held all my possessions. They were hidden behind a fake wall in that section. Most of my tower is fine, but the 10% that has been affected held 90% of my stuff that I needed. :swear:

If they were hiding behind a fake wall, surely you could see their name through the wall? I don't see how someone could just hide from you whilst griefing on such a large scale.... Or were you offline?

Griefers aren't cool, why not get some anti griefing mods going?

Send Wampbit or Bonemonster a PM of the timeframe it happened in, and they can check the server logs to see who was online.

This happened me as well

Remember those Mob Spawners you gave me? I stored them with some of my other valuables inside fake wall as well.
They where stolen/griefed. And there is no way people can find it without griefing entire tower.

And later those Mob spawners where used on our spawn point.

I'm getting to the bottom of it as soon as Rob sends me what I need from the Pm i just sent..

EDIT: After reviewing the server logs I find that Hiomaste DID NOT ask Vidicus to burn down his tree house nor give him permission but I also find that he wasn't that upset about it.

Starting unnecessary fires in the first place is a bad idea. Not only does fire spread very quickly but it eats server latency and can cause client side crashes as evidenced from the server logs. I will be conferring with the other Admins with how to deal with this situation.

Fire in Minecraft = It's like giving primates guns.

As for those that screwed with the tower.... I'll have to wait until the server logs refresh. It seems sometime last night that the server was having extreme difficulty logging people in. I don't know why. Maybe Wamp can figure it out.

As for that treehouse fire... I want that cleaned up immediately.

Or you could just get your admin to install that ownership mod so that no one can destroy blocks placed by you except you

Not really, you have to assign ownership to your blocks, by default anyone can destroy them.

I'd like to know who destroyed Robbio's work, because the same thing happened to Saurok. Well actually all his hidden stuff was stolen, and it was TOO hidden for anyone to just stumble upon it. I can't believe one of us is doing this, considering [incoming stupid phrase] how tight we roll. At least that's the impression I get from the chats. Shame on you whoever you are.
