It crashed the server. It was a server side mod. Client side mods are not allowed by Notch btw...

Notch doesn't support them in the way he supports graphical modifications, but they are technically allowed.

As long as the server allows them that is

Ah, I see then. If he supported client side mods officially then "legally" he is allowing people to do whatever they want to do with the code and he could end up losing his IP rights to the code.

Same reason Valve buys modders up that make mods they really like.

He just doesn't want people messing with the core code for the game, which is completely understandable. :shrug:

But if this server does allow client-side mods then I'd be happy to get that minimap thing ^_^

I still can't get on the server. I get to "downloading terrain" and then Minecraft crashes completely. I believe my base may have gotten corrupted or something.

I doubt that his allies want ME on their lands during a war, given the reputation Xkira has given me =P

Feel free to think of yourself as some badass rebel, freedom fighter, dictator, general, warmonger, lord of war, death dealer, demoltionsman, strongman, militant hippy, thief, resource redistribution specialist, capitalista, communista, or freelance gardner trying to make the place a little more green. None of that matters, the only thing I do care about is my stuff being left alone so I can work on it.

Of all the [censored] places to pick to settle it just had to be in the hustle and bustle area. -_- Can I get permission to move to some far off dessert?

Looks good. Ill assume its all good to actually go and move there since your a server admin. I distinctly remember that people were not supposed to move claims, unless I am distinctly remembering nothing.

i don't see the harm in it. You're giving up your current land which a few other people wanted and it leaves it open for them to claim.

Easy there Samwise, no need to nerd rage to pass a point. There is also no need for you to move from your location, neither party included you in anything. This is a private affair.

There actually is a need for me to move. The clocks been reset to ground zero. Time for the next cycle of drama, and oh look I'm in an area where the alliance wants land. Not only that but there will be fights between them and their enemies. I'm in the middle. Yes, there is a very real need for me to get out.
