The users of the SMP server walking in one direction for one hour increased map file size from 125mb to 500mb. Avoid far traveling if you are sharing maps.

To be fair, they took longer than an hour. I remember logging off right when they started and logging on 2-3 hours later and they were still going. Also, my RL friend that joined the server and I went about as far to the northeast in our own expedition. I think we went about 7000 blocks east.

Thanks. My goal was to make it so that the people following me had ample tools to accomplish whatever their (hopefully ambitious :D ) tasks might be. The strip mine wasn't hard... I do that as one of the first things in most of my singleplayer maps anyway. I think your water towers and settlement planning/clearing are equally impressive.

Indeed, cobble is my #1 building material so it was really helpful you left so much behind. I also found our first dungeon today. (I think) it was in such a odd place too, I'll leave the mossy cobble for someone else. Besides that I haven't done that much to the outside world, most of my time has been spent in the nether.

All I gotta say is :D

Well that, and... Man, the Nether takes on a whole new flavor when I'm not so darned anxious whenever I get ready to step through the portal. There might as well be fluffy kittens on the other side.

To be honest, none of them really grabbed at me. I much preferred the http://www.thinkgeek.com/mlp/minecraft/index.shtml?itm=minecraft_t-shirt&rkgid=274501645&cpg=ogty1&source=google_tees&gclid=CMaHjK326KcCFYi8KgodLxPXaQ offerings.

Those are good as well, but I had already seen those beforehand.

So, is there like a free version I could download to put on my flash drive and play anywhere? Some people in my DGA class did and I want to do the same.

Well there is the non-updated, free-to-play, creative version which is played in-browser.

We have enough for Silt strider for VegetaVille (god I hate that name so much) now. Just need a Mod to come online to move the money and Tank to create the Strider for us.

I have no idea if I can actually do that. Somehow I doubt it. All I can really do is kick and ban people.

I have yet to see you come up with a better name, by the way. And "Turtle" does not count as better. :P

What names are on the list so far? I still recommend Kakariko Village. :P

Umm... it's a thread where BGSF members come to talk about Minecraft. You do what you normally do in a thread... like... stuff.

Well, um... aside from talking, many members also go to the forum linked in the original post to talk about the server, and, uh... when they aren't talking, they're playing on that server... or playing singleplayer, or playing on the shared map... and um... that's it?

Oh and on Tuesdays we play Parcheesi.

Well, sorta. We talk about general aspects of Minecraft, like the contents of updates that we occasionally malign are too far apart or coming from a too-oft-broken server these days. We talk about and show pictures of our projects in Minecraft. And we talk a lot about our shared Minecraft experiences, like the BGSF multiplayer map or the BGSF share map.

You know what multiplayer is, yeah? Well BGSF multiplayer is when people from BGSF play multiplayer together! And a share map is like sharing your toys with the other kids in the playground, but it's a map! Isn't that fantastic!

Don't worry. Griefing is pretty much impossible. Any griefing that is done will be met with a swift ban by either me or whoever else catches the griefer.

The system is as follows:

First offense: 2 weeks

Second offense: 4 weeks

Third offense: 8 weeks or a perma-ban if it was real bad.

There is no forth offense.

I would like to be added to the shared map list please. If that is okay

Absolutely. I'll add you before Gamemastr since he's not yet gotten back to us on whether he wanted that spot.

Also, a reminder to the crazed simian, your turn is nearing an end, and it'll be time to upload your creation Monday.

Send a PM to Undone once it's ready :)

Once the bottom of the order is reached, we go back to the leadoff hitter. Also, unless anyone has any objections, the new time limit for edits (starting in the second inning) will be 48 hours from the time of receipt.

Oh, and apologies to those who dislike the baseball terminology.
