He means he wants to jump across a pit of lava.

oh, i misread it...

if his mine carts go as slow as mine do, i dont think he will be able to jump any worthwhile length of lava

Quick notice to let you guys know that I'm currently building a bridge to link the island of Aldgate and Torhemn. And if the owners of Torhemn agree, I'd love to build a road from the bridge to the city. :)

Update: Bridge is built! :foodndrink:

To answer the question of why I don't play multiplayer, I just don't like multiplayer games that much.

I've played a few, but I'm not playing Minecraft with other people.
Sorry, I'm just not a multiplayer person.

I wonder if anyone will find me.

I took off walking in random directions for almost two day cycles (in game) before I found a spot I liked. I walked and walked and walked, and then I walked some more. took a good swim and walked a little more.

I found a perfect mountain to build under, it has water right in front of it so I can hydrate the soil and grow crops and make bread, I had a good amount of coal and a little iron.
The area around the mountain is pretty flat too boot.

I planted a bunch of trees and they grew and grew and should still be growing. They are placed right in front of my mine entrance. Two of them where already massive before I logged off last night. you can't see the entrance/house for the trees so you would have to walk past the trees to find it.

I got a sign up, and its a half block building with double doors. I got a single mine shaft started and the main tunnel is fairly long.

All I need is for some one else to find it and trash it, would just top my already bad day off.

Would be nice if i had some company I could trust to not trash my place though, there is plenty of room to dig in the mountain and build a house/cave for a couple of people, and enough flat land outside for a fairly large house!

So i was playing minecraft last night, and i suddenly realized i hadn't run into a spider or zombie, let alone a pig in three hours. I googled around, and I realized that it was because I was playing some free version?

I thought minecraft was still in beta phase and was always free?

I remember playing (in the browser) the other mode, where I had health and there was monsters and stuff..This was a while back though. Must've been in May or earlier...but yeah, is there anyway I can play it? Do I really have to buy it ? How much is it?

It's in alpha and is about $13 at the moment. When it goes into beta the price will double. You can play creative for free (infinite blocks, no crafting or mobs) but the alpha is what gets updated and has crafting and stuff.

It's too bad food is kinda useless until we're no longer invincible in SMP.

And that bread doesn't stack. :P

I just might join you guys on the server soon... just to see what it is like anyways haha.

My name will be the same as here (Malakthrin), to avoid any confusion.

I am currently working on a very large bridge, connecting two mountain tops. One of the mountains is where my main fortress is, while the other one is currently undeveloped though that will change soon. Planning on starting another mine there.

I also finish constructing my giant snowman. That took a LOT of snow to build, luckily I didn't decide to make it solid (it's hollow) because I would probably have gone insane shovelling snow.

I love the snow setting, though I hope seasons are implemented at some point. Of course, if that were the case, my snowman would melt :(

Yeah, the one in the OP right? It's doubly strange because I was able to get in fine yesterday.

I have a free account now. Name's LEGOGOD as well.

OK, How do you join a server from the free version? The standalone EXE is listed on the site for paid accounts only.
