It would be nice to have one huge community project though. Like building a full scale Vivec city, with correct interiors and everything. And an arena in the Arena District. :hubbahubba:

That'd be cool. And pass out individual jobs for everyone.

Until we get damage implemented, not really. :P

I can dig this. Especially the ability to use TNT to clear the inevitable landmass that would be taking up the space for the city. We should then also have a gondola system set up with some crates full of boats so that we could get the real Vivec feeling.

Or a model of New York City, all buildings measured correctly, all streets in perfectness, and all of the population in it

Have never gotten griefed before so I can't say anything about that.

And we can always break out the banhammer if we need to.

Ideally we'd need a large open water area.

Vivec doesn't look that big http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/57416-1284893015.jpg, but it's pretty damn big especially if you take in account all the interior areas.

And lets not forget the http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/57416-1279998435.jpg. :D

If we can find a decent size water area I can work out the canton sizes. I won't be able to play until Thursday or so though.

Every time I see you guys post screenshots I remember that you all need to use a texture pack, an HD (YES I KNOW EXO) one preferably.

I can't figure out which one to use. I have the "HD" texture fix ready to go but want to get a nice looking texture pack to use with it.

I've tried around 7 different texture packs. Right now I'm using Mixcraft.

Also, I would like to work on creating Vivec in the future.

We're going to also have to tackle the biomes problem because I don't know about you, but there isn't any snow in my Vivec.

So. Someone has placed a sign somewhere in the Temple of Justice (and Vinegar Ra hate) over in Torhemn. I wonder what it means....

Hah, I ran all the way from Neo Montreal to find it. :P

[censored]. My game is glitching out horribly. I backed up my save game (in sp) so as to protect myself from any possibe bugs from inv edit and I didn't even open the map in inv edit and now when I try and play my world the Biomes update has screwed the [censored] out of my world. Now there is a great big mountain on top of my spawn and when I load the level I take constant damage due to the fact I am squashed in a massive pile of rock. Great good buy save game. (I have a few backups but when I load them it results in the same thing).

Please, please please help if you can.

I don't understand whats changed. I have copied the world 5 folder around a bit but it's integrity should be fine.

... and I have put ALOT of work into this one world.

Greetings dear Minecraft comrades.

I'm afraid I will need to put down this beloved game for a while. Things are changing and I will not be able to continue my work on the server and -

Ah what the heck, I'll get to the point. ;)

I'm focusing all free time on my level design portfolio and being selling myself to the game companies in my city. I won't be able to continue working on Neo Montreal and basicly play Minecraft.
Anybody can take over the hollow shell that it is right now and transform it to their will. With all the time I have going in my future career for now, I won't be able to play on our server for a good time.

But I'll still be reading the Minecraft thread, don't you worry!
This said, goodbye Minecraft friends, but fear not for I will be watching the progression of our world. :)

Cheers!

Is the server huge like SP? If it's a smaller area, an admin should take a screenshot of the whole thing from above so we could see it's splendor.

It's the same as sp. And I think they've tried getting a map from above and it crashed. Wampbit was going to try it again IIRC.

Moved all of my stuff from the one project area to the next one. Argonath is now abandoned by me unless I do the occasional visit to see how its doing. Meaning next major playtime I get for minecraft is the start of the next project.

What texture packs do you guys use? I haven't bothered to change from the basic one but some of them look pretty good. HD suggestions are welcome.

Also, not sure if this is something new, or if I'm just late to see it, but I happened to notice a skeleton...riding a spider...yeah, what's with that?
