I made a landmark. It's a large square made out of red roses. I claim the valley it's in.

though the map has to be re-rendered so I can figure out where exactly I am :/

I have Alpha, just not an account (which I intend on buying). So I'm guessing I need to use something else to get screenshots of alpha games.

Wait you have Alpha but no account so basically you are saying you pirated the game amirite? And most likely you should be able to still take screenshots. Also, if it is pirated delete it ASAP.

Okay so the original post says we need to physically visit our territory to officially claim it.

But Caffienatedjedi says that you DON'T need to go and mark it to claim it.

Who is right?

I am, of course.

You need to visit the location, build something on it and then mark the outlines of the territory you are claiming.

Even though I was the first to go for a land grab doesn't that seem unfair? The best spots just got rushed and taken. Even worse people who get their first and then lag stops them from marking it out.

I was told I don't need to physically mark a border. I found an area, we're building stuff on it, but I didn't create a border.

Physically claiming is the best way IMO. Way too easy to sit behind your computer and mark your territory in paint.

I still intend to go mark my territory no matter what, but getting to it is going to take some time. So it would be nice to know that I don't need to go mark it right this instant, and can instead wait a little while.

The building on the right is a sort of temple and you can just make out my home buried into the sand beneath the watch tower in the distance. The tower on the left is a work in progress but I will probably post some pictures of that once it is finished.

1 square max per person. You must physically go there and build something that will be visible to Cartographer to stake a claim.

I propose we disable mobs for a little while to see if it helps with stability.

I hope more people decide to claim territory closer to me... I'm itching to start a war RP with someone when I get everything settled. Not any sort of serious war, just a fun RP to pass the time.

Undone, when will the next map be made? Tomorrow? The day after that? Just want to know how much time I have.

That's down to Wampbit now. I don't have access to the server admin. I suspect we'll get new maps every couple of days, possibly more frequent in the first week when things are moving faster.

Okay after a lot of time following this thread I decided I want to join now that there's a new map, I've been playing Minecraft for months and I will post some pics of my and my friend's creations we did on our private server that he hosts.

My nick in game is Volpper, just to make sure Volpper with two P's

Now about territories, I really want B7 but how do I get there without going completely lost?

Type in /compass in game and it will tell you the direction.
