Is that a demo ? If so how do I find it ?

Consider Classic as more of a demo even though it's not a fair respresntation of the void of true fun.

No, it's the browser version.

I mean is it a free, legal test to see if I like the game.

Minecraft isn't about destroying others creations, it's about building your own stuff or helping/getting help on building them. If I want to lay siege to someone's castle, I'll go build my army in Medieval 2 Total War and play online. Or launch Mount & Blade Warband to take over players' castles.

There's limit to how much RP can be applied to Minecraft. :)

Of course, when a user dictates that his building can be demolished because he doesn't want to see it anymore, now is the time for a nice TNT fireworks show. Other than that, let's keep to building structures and having fun doing it. :foodndrink:

Plus, I doubt that combat between players will be enjoyable when damage will be in. It's only a matter of who manages to attack the opponent first and the first who can push his opponent in a corner, attacking him until he dies. But, exploring dungeons with friends, fighting against zombies and other creatures will be a blast I'm sure. :)

Yeah, in fact I hope PvP damage doesn't get in MP. I want mob vs player damage though (and when falling etc).

I very much agree. Minecraft isn't really a competitive game, it's about working together on things or seeing what wonders other people have built. And having a mining party with military backup (and a guy whose inventory is filled with baked bread :P) working together to kick monster ass underground is much more awesome than waving diamond swords around at people who just want to build something.

If both PvP and PvM (Player versus mobs? :P) are added to MP, damage in general basically, I'd like to see PvP disabled.

I never removed my first world, so I loaded it up and took a picture of my first ever building in Single Player. When I built it, I used to believe this was VERY VERY big.

I need to work out a good place to put my home portal, then I can start on a second base. But, of course, I need a load of obsidian first, which I'm yet to locate.

I'll PM you Anti. (you can't receive any new messages..

It's okay, Suffca sent me the IP, filling up my inbox in the process. Yes I need to clean it...

Me and SimpsonFly just did a huge amount of mining. Despite finding gold and diamond deposits several times, not once did I find any iron...

But now I have to go do my homework, and now that I've played Minecraft for even this small amount of time, I'm not thinking about it constantly now. Hooray!

Im fine with starting a new map. Someone has been griefing Fort Greywood over the past week which has lead to me moving about a hour away from Torhemn. Would be nice to start with a new map, be able to dig a few feet eithout landing into a tunnel.

My only regret would be the loss of so much history... and Gray Death Legion Fort. I saw it up close the other day while searching for a new base and man was I impressed...

Find lava and link it to a lake or something, when the two combine you get obsidian. I dont know if you can locate it, I have only seen people make it.

I thought you'd abandoned Fort Greywood? At least, it seemed like you had when you told me to "do whatever I wanted with it".

And no people, I did not grief it, having half of Mordor blown up results in one hating griefers rather than joining them.

In regards to starting a new server, the only way I can see this working is if a new set of rules are brought in, only trusted players with clean records are allowed initially, and people are granted ridiculous amounts of resources to begin with in order to help rebuild what has been lost.

We're not going to be rebuilding what has been lost. We'll be starting completely over.

I worded that badly. I didnt mean "rebuild Torhemn" so much as "give us stuff so that we dont start necessarily with diddly squat".

I have. People kept digging holes in it and getting rid of signs, while messing around with the cave entrances. I don't know if this is someone doing this because of the treehouse or just being a idiot, but I don't want to have to repairdamage done on a daily basis.

So flood it with warer, blow up the bridges, egg the towers, do whatever you want to it. A bigger fort is in process of being built, code named New Greywood. It shall rival your Mordor Robbio >=)

Eh....considering the size of Angband and the Legion Fortress, Mordor really isnt that big. Really the only noteworthy thing about it is that people will go to any lengths to not use the entrance and it has an excellent heating system.

I know how to make it and locate it - I've collected thousands in multiplayer and in another single player map. It's just proving particularly difficult to get my hands on in this map. Not even the tiniest of lava pools.

Not without having any lava to start with.

It gets more sadistic. I finally found my first three diamond ores in this map... Just after my last iron pick broke. It's gonna be stone picks until I strike more iron :|

Eehhhh good point. But those were built by more then one person, some with Admin help I believe. Neo Montreal is a exception, but even then its pretty hollow on the inside.

THEREFORE! A battle of the one man made towers! Mwahahahahha

I think that's the fun part though. Being able to start with nothing and work our way to building something amazing.

So when did commands stop working? Went /home and got sent to spawn. Was going to try and fix the damage but I don't really feel like trekking back to Neo Montreal.
