Submitting this one as my new claim. Xkira and I have an alliance, but I don't believe our realms are formally joined in any way.

Peaceful areas are, well, peaceful. Any aggressive actions near them, any PvP within them, any griefing/attacks within them, and any offensive actions made by them are temp-ban offences. You cannot change from peaceful to normal (ie. red and full of PvP). Once you have made the choice you have to stick with it. Peaceful areas also have no way to expand. I may, after a while, allow them to change at a cost.

Gray Death Legion, Tel Undonia, New Mordor, Bullfrog and Antibody should from Northern Alliance. :P

I would be willing to do that, though I think we should all get a bit more done in our respective territories before doing so.

Edit: That's not to say I'm peaceful, just that I'm willing to form an alliance.

Grumble? I'm going to have to start forming a counter alliance if that happens :P

http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp230/evil_pigeon/Map20101126.jpg wamp can I make this adjustment so that my buildings are actually within my territory? (circle is probably too large - if so can you removes some of the space to the south rather than the north?)

Way too big, please provide a realistic circle of the same size to the north - that's around 170% of your size.

No it can go on forever and ever, at the expense of file size. However we're trying to not explore too far out or else Cartographer wont be able to map everything anymore.

I actually remember Notch saying in some podcast he was in that there is a limit, really crazy limit granted, but there is one.

IIRC he said something like 2 weeks of real time running to one set direction :P

The maximum theoretical size of a Minecraft map is 8 time the surface of the earth.

or 4.080.576.000m2

Another fact, Notch said that 1 minecraft cube is equal to 1m3

So the surface of a Minecraft map can be (theoretically) 4.080.576.000 minecraft squares2

Edit:

Hey, how much are we allowed to alter unclaimed territory? For example, say I wanted to "sink" an island that wasn't near any claimed land. Could I do that? Or is there a rule against it because I'd be getting rid of perfectly good land that could be claimed in the future?

No, you will never use it all. So yes pointless.

Does it really matter? All that land equates to more resources and more things to explore, so it's far from pointless. So what if you only explore 0.001% of all of it?

Besides, the land isn't there from the beginning. What you see on the map right now, that's all we've got. We CAN generate up to 8x the surface of the earth, but we haven't yet, and don't intend to.
