That's why it'll also be off in the [censored] end of nowhere :P

But then what's the point of encasing it in Adminium in the first place?

Because we can.

And it is safer that way

Slow day in game, today. I take it I woke up just as everybody else started logging off.

As far as I know nobody has been on today.

Wouldn't surprise me if people are just waiting for the new map to come out. No point building anything if it just is going to be overwritten. :(

What's the point of anything being built in a game? You build it because it's fun to do, not because you want a monument to your awesome. Well maybe a little.

I agree. Also, you (the mods) need to think of a system. Some kind of hierarchy or something to make griefing harder or at least easier to pin it on someone.

Yes, and since damage is added there is some use for gold. You can craft golden apples which heals 100%

Apples are rare and making a golden apple takes 72 gold ingots. Not worth it.

Gold would only be useful for trade with an admin who spawns the items, it is useless to everyone else aside from building.

And I don't agree with the idea of spawning free lightstone (or anything else) for everyone, it makes torches obsolete. Maybe they can be traded for some gold or 64 torches.

Are we keeping the /spawn and /home commands? It sure would make things much easier if you could just teleport your way out of dangerous places. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

I say we make Hio the official holder of all the tnt. What could go wrong?

I think TNT should be allowed since we'll be able to hunt creepers. Nerf TNT and hunting creepers is pointless.

I agree with what Simpson said earlier in the thread about how items you CANNOT obtain yet are allowed to be spawned such as lightstone. Lightstone is badass.

Spawnable Item List:

Lightstone
Netherstone
Snowblock

To keep it fair I suggest a shop of sorts be set up that deals in unobtainable items that players can buy from :)

I don't like this idea. Sooner or later there will be an update that will allow us to go to the nether and to make snow blocks and then we will become angry that everyone's inventories are already overflowing with them. I say no spawning any items for anyone whatsoever. All of those blocks you listed above aren't necessary for anything we're doing. We can live without them. And everything else we can obtain on our own. It's really not that hard.

I do like the idea of a safe area at spawn. Should alleviate some people's fears of being attacked at random.

As far as trading, why do we need an accepted currency? Let's just let people figure out amongst themselves what is a fair trade.

And when that update comes we'll stop spawning them. There's no reason to deprive ourselves of something just because an update may or may not come out some time in the future.

I agree on not spawning light stone. If we spawn them then what's the point of torches?

They look cooler then torches? And why do torches need a point?

Exactly. Netherstone and snow blocks I guess I could live with if they're absolutely necessary (though I don't see how they would be).

At the very least, we should have to trade a lot of stuff to have them spawned for us.

I was thinking we should give ranks and such (IE: Take away the use of tnt, fire etc to newer players). Ranks depending on how long you've been on the server. Then we know if something has been griefed, which group of members could have done it.

Does anyone have a large explored single player map, with not too much stuff built on it?

EDIT: Without portals, since they mess up cartographer :|

I forget how much I've explored it though but it's worth a try.

It has a habit of doing that. It usually fixes itself after a minute or so.

Yeah, the cartographer doesn't want to work for me. It's been sitting at the end for a good 5 minutes.
