This wikk postpone the creation of Clocktown... (because after playing Zelda all night, I realize that project will require the help of Lucarios and Boos)

Instead, I shall make a replica of Tristram from Diablo. Comes with a Cain in every cage!

You need to make massive dungeon underneath that place. All way to hell!

That was sort of the idea behind Fort Greywood. Hell if you go underneath it you can see where I was getting started with the project. There is even a portal.


But my plan if I do decide to add the dungeons is to make the Dungeons out of Cobblestone, Catacombs out of refined, let the caves come naturally, have some Hell Stone to build up toward the portal, then finally add monster spawners all over the place.


But I have to build the actual town first. :P Should I base it off D1 Tristram, or D2?

In that case, if we're definitely starting a new map, I'll probably blow up Mordor tmrw and send the ol' girl off with a bang.

That happened with my old Barad Dur in our first world (First Age).
Undone threw the one ring into Mount Doom and my Barad Dur exploded :(

Well, I hope you get whatever you need to sort out sorted Kinguin, and then get yourself back onto the server and into the mines! :P

And yes, we will only add this map after survival aspects have been added. We will put the cartographed map up before the server release, and people will have to outline the area where they want their territory and the number of persons in their territory. I shall then make a somewhat ambiguous (just for border dispute fun :D) map detailing the different territories and no-mans land. You are expected to generally stay WITHIN the explored territory: we wanted something that was mapped and contained.

Non-claimed land can be considered no-man's land, and can be claimed, but if you claim something it's your job to kick everyone else off the area :P

Themed means that I'm not going to allow people to build massive sky-scraqers and other completely unrelated buildings. It will not be a mess of different designs, and will all follow the same look.

And Undone is the one hosting the server for this, it will probably be up tonight.

I'll try and come along, seeing as my coursework is near completed.

So I assume that it will have the small town vibe to it then? Two to three story buildings made out coblestone, wood and brick.

For now I'm leaving /home and /spawn. If they're over-used as methods of running away from PvP, or respawning at the death points etc. I'll have to impose some limitations. As I stated earlier, however, if someone states a region as a peaceful building zone I expect people to respect this as if it were a game rule. Peaceful zones will have to be away from other zones, and they will be friendly build areas:- I expect these to crop up quite naturally, and knowing the BGSF players I don't see any problems relating to them, but if someone does grief/attack in a zone that everyone knows to be peaceful, expect moderator action.

I don't like the idea of losing all of my stuff. I don't see why /homing to your place would be so bad. As long as you don't come back and kill the PvP winner from behind or something.

As for the theme I suggest a small town with a castle overlooking it on a hill. With farming areas, shops, houses, inns, anything that you might expect to find in a town.

It doesn't seem that way. But at the moment I don't believe that there is even an option to do so.

Notch said he'd add a “pvp” toggle flag to the server settings, right in the first release with damage added.
