Is there any way to change the day/night cycle times? I feel like night time lasts waaaaay too long on our server and the day is just way too short.

Question: What the heck is minecraft, my friend told me about it and now I see discussions about it here on the forums. I looked at their website and the wiki discription of the game, but still am a bit confused about the whole concept and how its supposed to work/play. Can anyone give me a short understandable discription of the game and why its supposedly so good? The graphics seem dated as well.

I have been ejoying myself on Single Player for the past few hours. Thinking of rebuilding Fort Greywood at my spawn, pool and everything.

How has the online been folks? Looks like you all still have a griefer somewhere...

P.S.: About two to three weeks ago I logged on and was crossing the glass bridge near the spawn when a creeper fell out of no where and blew me up... with half of the bridge. I meant to inform you all, but schoolwork made it slip my mind. My apologies <_<

I've been reading this thread for a while as some will have surely noticed, mainly because I enjoy seeing people's creations. Don't think I will be joining the server at the moment - I don't want to have to deal with griefing and don't know if I'll get much out of any other PVP. And because I have a tendency to quit on a world once I've completed half the work on a fort because I'm fickle and want to start over. I think the first 3 days, before I acquire fancy stuff like diamond tools or a full set of armor, are my favorite anyway.

Yea due to unforeseen circumstances Shifty (blahberry in game) is getting kicked the [censored] out of my borders. Thankfully the map was never updated or I would have been regretting that one.

How would I install a mod ? I saw a mini map one before, that seems useful.
