So is our Minecraft server always this empty these days?

I haven't seen more than 5 different people get on since yesterday morning, and no more than 3 at the same time.

Im not going to be on until I finish anothe rplaythrough of DM dlc, and until they fix the /home and voids.

Well I think December is just a busy time. First finals happened, so any students (including myself) were too busy with school to be on much, and now it's the holidays. Activity will probably pick up again in January...

Not only that, but some people, including myself, don't really want to risk losing our hard earned things by playing with Hmod off.

I mean, I have many holes in my territory already because of the creepers not being nerfed anymore. Not to mention the lack of /home and /playerlist.

Speaking of which, you really need to find a way to make the road from the lighthouse to your territory less dangerous. Me and Gamemastr were heading to his new territory when night came and I figured it'd be safe to get to your territory... WRONG. I nearly died thanks to the fact that the road to your house is a creeper breeding ground, and we were just barely escaped all the damn skeletons. The same thing happened back when Bonemonster, GDL and I went to your territory.

It's not your fault, but I think putting cobble walls and a roof over your road, with windows every few yards, would be a wonderful idea. I'm going to do the same with my road to Robbio at some point.

Oh and I think you asked earlier in the thread if I knew of any flat places around our territory... I can't say I do, other than the area outside your western wall of course.

I happen to have a dozen or so stacks of cobblestone and a load of glass I'll never use if you want them. Or I suppose I could just work on the road myself.

That would be great. Is there anything you want for them?

I dislike that idea. Not because it's a bad idea (I've considered it several times), but because It would look unsightly and would be just generally annoying.

More annoying than not being able to go to your territory at night because of the extremely high chance of death?

What else could we do then?

So dig a tunnel fill it with torches, add some tracks and eventually people can have a metro system. Maybe make "stations" where the track ends and there are signs showing where other tracks lead e.g from yours to station, then you can go to mordor or bonemonster etc. All torches, all underground. Keep the above world looking nice while providing safe fast transport. Make it atleast 2 tracks wide, so peoplee can go to and from locations.
Good ideea ?

Only issue is it makes it easy for griefers to move around, and could easily be griefed e.g some putting tnt on tracks or digging holes.
But it could work well epecilly incase the /home ever vanishes again.

You could build a skybridge or just put torches everywhere so mobs can't spawn.

Well in truth there already IS a tunnel between Antibody and I's territories.

make it wide enough for 2 tracks fill it with torches and we have the start of a metro tunnel.
Maybe make the spawn the central station, then have other stations branch out like a tunnel to antibodies station leads to those close to antibody. One of those people would be closer to the spawn, so they get connected to the spawn, and so on. It would help anyone traveling, maybe have a few doors on the surface every now and then to help people get out of the night and keep traveling.

Railroads are useless wastes of iron and wood until powered minecarts actually become useable.

Find the entrance from my side. Then you will no longer need to venture into the *GASP* outside!

Well, good luck to everybody here on the server tomorrow. I probably won't be on very much at all, so just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or whatever you celebrate.

No we can, I just meant that there's no point in using them to travel as their slow and frustrating to use.

Thanks, hopefully I get to it before any rapscallions see your post and steal it :toughninja:

I'm not sure if they still work in beta, but there are numerous contraptions that use perpetual motion in game to accelerate the mine carts to highway speeds.

Pretty sure powered ones won't push a cart with a person in it. So that's probably why.

I hate Notch and this game so much right now. Speed lag kicked in and I ran into lava the instant it happened, which meant all my items got destroyed. [Censored] you Notch and [censored] your [censored] buggy ass [censored] game. :flame:

On top of that, the idiot who put a tnt trap in my base also put one in the entrance to the tunnel leading to SimpsonFly's territory. I caught this one and destroyed it before it could do anything. I caught the last one as well but I happened to be trying a new texture pack at the time so I didn't know what it was until it exploded.

I really don't see how lag is the games fault, rather than the server/ your connections fault.
to vent your anger, get some TNT and blow [censored] up.
