I think they do, at least for the more complicated projects. If you just try something large by instincts it probably won't turn out so well.

Children in this game annoy me. Just had a quarell with a child who pulled some very tyrant-like stunts. Hopefully the Admin bans him as soon as it's brought to light.

Perhaps you guys should get your own forum for your server, allowing the BGSF thread to be more for general discussion and projects people are working on as this thread does and has always felt like it's more aimed at your server than Minecraft. Right, there are some *ahem* signs (or atleast there shall be shortly) at the spawn regarding the server funding situation. Jan 5th is when our rental lapses, we're not far off though, you all know the drill . HMod will be back as soon as there is a version that doesn't drain our performance.

Regarding a forum of our own, such thing does actually exist; Lord Black has created a BGSF minecraft forum/website, which is up, including blog pages for each player's MC development, and a general forum. If people are interested in using that instead, it's available - however we need to make a group decision so we don't have half the people over here, and half the people over there. I'd appreciate all players to get back to me on this one, as if people would prefer their own forum, it's available.

Normally boats, but at the moment boats are really laggy and glitch when you try to get out of them.

I don't like that idea at all. We are not nearly active enough for that sort of thing. What's wrong with using the BGS forums? Not a lot comes to mind, and any disadvantages are minor. Using these topics is perfectly acceptable, we don't need a separate forum.

You can't claim anything unless you are a "curate" forum rank (you have at least one star). It's a requirement for joining the server, and is in the first post.

But yes, if you were able to join and claim a territory, if you were green nobody could steal from you without getting temp-banned.

I realize, I have a friend who's attempting to recommend me right now. I've been looking everywhere for a server that seems like it would actually be fun to play on, but it's all trolls and griefing. I think I may have found it, and I just need the recommendation to go through.

i can recommend Carnivore, but I believe Bonemonster is offline, and I PMed him with both of our names.

Things aren't griefed too often, however we have a few bad apples that occasionally do grief. Also, if you become a green zone, don't take it to mean your stuff is safe. People steal things a lot in this server, and it would be very wise to hide your stuff, and hide it well.

Server's bugging out at the moment. I died and ran back to my claim, but I was only able to recover some of my inventory. The rest is jittering in place, and the mobs are frozen(except for 2 creepers).


EDIT: Some mobs are mobile again, but items are still stuck.

when is hmod coming back? It is pretty unplayable without it.

Can anybody recommended a minimap? i tried one, but it messed up minecraft. I'm using windows vista if it helps.

I disagree. Without hmod, I made 2 epic journeys across the entire map, carrying all of the gear I'd accumulated since the new map, and then managed to set up a whole new base, complete with a 3 story tower, a farm and a dock.

Hmod is mainly made for mods. Without it, it will be hard for us to administrate justice effectively. Without Hmod the game has a more, for lack of a better word, dynamic feel to it. Traveling is dangerous. Mining is dangerous. When nobody comes to see you because they can't just instantly /home back, you feel alone, as if the world is empty. This is especially true for me as I live in the middle of nowhere. My neighbors are hardly on. Tank won't be on for a while as our friend just got leave from El Paso and him, my lil bro and our friends have rented a villa and have been DRINKING AND PARTYING FOR TWO WEEKS WHILST I HAVE TO WORK!!!!!!

True, it's pretty interesting. You can't just mine straight down or exploring random tunnels without keeping track of where you are going, because you have to find your way back.

Btw, is it possible to make a zone a "freebuild" zone? So anyone can build there and/or live there. For the homeless.
