Up and coming server mods once our bukkit is updated:

http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/bigbrother-log-and-rollback-potential-griefers.166/page-9#post-17847

http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/istick-the-all-in-one-tool.272/

I just talked to the developer of the Essentials mod (hmod commands) and we need an updated bukkit for it to work correctly. Jest only has bukkit 66 at the moment.

Ok. back up, for now. This is silly.

EDIT: Taking a break. Will be back later.

Admin notes for Wamp and Undone:

/tp does not work correctly. Use default command
/tphere does not work
/setspawn does not work. Need newer bukkit
/spawn does not work. Need newer bukkit
Torches set from spawn to city wall.
Bankvault sealed.
/home and /sethome are wonky. Need newer bukkit. They work, for now.
iConomy works.
Whitelist works (located in file manager/plugins/whitelist/whitelist.txt)
iStick may not work if installed. Need newer bukkit.
Big Brother WILL NOT work. Need newer bukkit.

If there are any other problems/errors. Send me a PM.

UPDATE:

The spawn had indeed been moved. I just never received a confirmation from the server. /spawn is still broken though.

there is no way to establish ops groups without enabling/disabling commands for both. So if admins need /home for the vault, both groups will need it as if I disable it, it goes away for both.

i can however keep /sethome on until wamp and undone get their homes. then disable sethome and delete any non admin homes. :P

Right, I've just tested and http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=77497 mod works with the latest update. I'd recommend it to everyone.

IMPORTANT SERVER RULES

Server Information
As the BGSF is the centre of all good in the gaming world, we have appropriately set up a server - we started on a humble Hamachi server, locally hosted, but have since risen in the world, and now have a dedicated Minecraft server! You can find the details below, and if you'd like to help us keep the server running details can be found at the spawn .

Entry Requirements
To access our great and grand server you have to meet one of the following criteria - your application for the whitelist will be assessed individually and you shall be informed when a decision is made. This could take some time, and it is possible to be denied access.

1. You are 'Curate' forum rank or above (1 gold star) - this indicates to us that you are a member of the BGSF community, compared to a passing vagabond looking for some quick fun. As this server is aimed towards the community we do expect our members to be a part of the community.

2. You do not have any rank on the forums, however have proven yourself to be an active member of our thread. If you've posted in our thread for a week or two, shared your projects, screenshots of your single-player obsidian factory, and generally proven yourself to be a friendly person that acts in an appropriate manner you will be allowed onto the server.

Server Details:
Before entering the server post your Minecraft username in this thread - you will not be added to the whitelist if you do not!

IP: 88.198.17.4:25500

General Rules:

Good conduct is expected from all members. The admins reserve the right to add or remove to these rules as they wish, as well as to kick, suspend or ban for anything not listed which we deem to be unacceptable conduct.

1. This is a no PvP server. Killing another member will result in a one month suspension, unless it can be proven that the attack was unintentional (ie "they ran in front of my pick!")

2. Theft and destruction of property will not be tolerated. These will incur a one month suspension.

3. Griefing will result in a permanent ban.

4. Repeat of petty offences will result in a permanent ban.

5. Use of unauthorised client mods will result in a ban deemed appropriate for the nature of the mod.

Gameplay rules:

These rules are the embodiment of the server game we have set up. Failure to observe these rules will result in a punishment deemed appropriate by the council.

1. Players need not build in the city if they do not want to. For RAM and cartographing reasons we request that you stay close to the city, but outwith the exclusion region marked on the map. Buildings constructed in the exclusion region may be forcibly removed if the owner does not agree to relocate.

2. There is no mining allowed within the city. Trees may only be removed if they block legal construction.

3. The city is split into four main districts, with the follow plot limits:
D1: Starter plots, small plots (10x10), low-end industrial (lumber, quarry bases, etc).
D2: Small plots, medium plots (15x15), mid-range commercial (small shops).
D3: Medium plots, large plots (20x20), high-end commercial (large shops, guilds).
D5: Mansion/estate plots (30x30).

Buildings MAY NOT be built without a permit.

These rules are subject to updating.

Buildings MAY NOT be built without a permit.

I started building a house in one of the starter plots and I didn't know I needed a permit. Is that okay?

Construction in starter plots is fine. 1 per player.

Everything.

We have a new map, with a single city that everyone lives in (though you're allowed to build outside of the city as well, it's not protected from griefing). Decisions are made by the mods and the council, which are regular players that were elected to make decisions for the rest of us.

Why did we go back to the single city?

.....

YESSSSSSSSSS!

To be honest, I absolutely hated the whole, "Find your territory." Scenarios we had going.

So are we allowed to build anywhere outside the city as long as it doesn't grief others, and we are prepared to handle griefing on our own?
