Alright, I've restarted the server. You should be able to connect now.

I'd like to buy TNT, if anyone has any. I'll pay 5 septims/block.

Also, I will pay a suitable amount to anyone willing to spend some time mining out the area for my football pitch.

If you can outline the general area I'd be glad to mine it for you, we can discuss payment. :)

I have some TNT for sale but the going rate is 10 septims/block.

Could we get an ETA for when Wampbit will have his computer fixed and, as a result, will be able to upload the old world's save? I know you've said why he can't do it, but it seems like a long time has passed and I'm getting a little worried.

I'm in the process of uploading the previous world now. Should be available within the hour.

I hope you aren't uploading it to the server. If you are, make sure you rename it so that the server does not get confused.

The old world was just sitting in a .zip file(along with all the previous worlds, I suppose). I've just downloaded it and am now waiting for the upload to a file hosting site to finish.

Ahh. So they were already there then. Nice find.

Unzip into a folder named world{1-5} and put into your .minecraft/saves/ folder. I'd recommend using 7zip to unzip the file, as the default windows compression utility freezes/crashes when accessing it.

In other news, I downloaded the Old Map, and made my way to Shadowvia.

I then immediately entered the Nether for the first time in my Minecraft career.

That place is ****ing scary...

Christ im getting every log in error there is for this game...

Say, how would you folks recommend that I build giant walls? (30-48 blocks big). Back in Torhemn I would just jump off the building and move on to the next since we had no damage in multiplayer at the time, but now if I try that... well... I don't want to have Farus write in his journals about how his construction workers commited mass suicide.

EDIT: Say, Mr.TankJump you wouldn't happen to have a file with the previous previous world would you? (Torhemn). The computer I played it on is... dis-functional to say the least and I want to examine my old fort, see what I did to make it as wide as it was.

Thanks! :celebration:

I can't wait to get back to building.

Oh yeah, that's right, we can get to the Nether on the old map now... should be fun.

One technique I found handy for really tall structures is to use a sand ladder. Build a pillar of sand right next to your wall and as you build it add ladders to it. When you're done constructing your wall all you have to do is dig out the sand and it will cleanly collapse. Alternatively you could just attach a ladder to your wall as you build it but you would have to leave most of it behind. Or you could use dirt as scaffolding.

Edit: BTW, is there a mod out there that extends or removes the day/night cycle? I'm getting tired of my computer chugging every ten minutes.

Thank you. Its good to have a copy of it so that all the work and effort put in by everyone before hasnt simply been deleted entirely.

Damn it! I died, found a void half way back to outpost 2, now I can't even log in. :banghead:

I REALLY hate how buggy this game's multiplayer is. <_<

Mobs have too munch range, the thing was hitting me even though I was running away, never mind it was a reanimated corpse. :(

Interesting. That would work but what I would really like is a mod that makes daytime last like an hour or something.
