I was playing single player, building a lava ditch then a pig pushed me into it....i lost everything all my diamond, tools, 20 steel and about 30 gold BLOCKS...i'm just too sad to be angry, i cant even kill the pig because i don't have a sword :cryvaultboy:
At least you were pushed it. The very first time I was collecting obsidian I accidentily fell in to a deep pit with lava at the bottom and I couldn't get out. I lost my fresh diamond pickaxe and thirty pieces of obsidian to that. (Thankfully I had stripped myself of almost all other equipment beforehand).
Early on, right after making my first diamond pickax and my first set of iron armor, I tunneled in to a large and discovered that the entire entire ceiling was made of sand. As I backed out before collapsing it I went to retrieve my torch . . . and discovered this was sufficient action to trigger the landslide above me. I promptly suffocated.
I rushed back after respawning and starting to dig the sand out only to discover this had been the sea floor and even with attempts to shore things up I couldn't sufficiently clean things up without without getting swamped. I eventually started a large scale operation from above in the hopes of getting rid of the water and digging this up - however about an hour in I read that dropped items only persist for about five mintes and gave up.
My most embarassing death so far thankfully had no loss of equipment, although it occured two days ago so I can't blame this on newbishness. I've been working on a small castle on top of a mountain - it's high enough up that clouds pass through it. All of my sites are connected by tunnels just above the bedrock level and I previously had a makeshift starway going straight down - over the weekend I decided to expand it and make it easier to use. After clearing out all of the rock I needed to I went to the castle to collect my stone slap stairs when I accidentily backed up and fell in to the shaft - and thus fell from almost the very highest possible point all the way down to the bedrock. I was kicking myself before I even hit the ground.
