It certainly would be easier, I don't think it would look very nice though. What does everyone else think?

A pretty simple design. There are 6 outer doors leading outside, 4 in the middle leading to a different interior cell (a tavern, home or shop they usually are. It shouldn't be too hard to squeeze something in there), and there's a lower passage with a door that leads to the canols level.
I'll be sure to use a top down view when dividing it into blocks.
Doesn't look too bad. It's the overall size of the project that's going to kill us, IMO.
Also, I know I'm going to get a lot of flak for this idea, but I think we should refrain from spawning stuff for people while doing this project. Having items spawned for us is what caused the whole fiasco with the last map, which led to this map, and I know no one wants that again. And don't say that won't happen again. It will. It always does.
Now, here's what I propose. Whatever material we decide to build the canton out of, TankJump will spawn himself. We'll do a rough estimate of how much we'll need, and then TankJump will spawn that and only that and hand it out to whoever wants to help. After that, we build up the canton as best we can with that material, as a sort of outline, and if we come up too short with the material Tank can spawn the rest. Once that's done, we gather the remaining materials we need. All of the other materials we need will mostly be for decoration, so we won't need nearly as much as the main material, and it will be fairly easy to gather.
